Pictures of property look nicer than it is

Booked online so didn’t know what to expect. Once I got there it looked like an abandoned building. The room was clean but most of the outlets didn’t work and shower was falling apart. I ended up staying anyway cause it’s very close to the airport and I had an early flight the next day.

It was horrible at excel Oriental hotel. There was no hot water, mosquitoes bites me. Blood of the killed mosquitoes stains on wall and my pillow. The keys damaged and I force to pay #5000. White sheets were brown. The bed mattress were press down in the middle. Toilet seats bad and cover. Bathroom mould on bath top. TV not working, internet not working. Etc O rating

Property was great for the most part. Only thing is the reason I chose this hotel was because on booking it said there was a free airport shuttle. Upon checking in we were told we had to pay 10,000 naira for the shuttle. This was false advertising and I was not prepared to pay for the extra transport fee. We did also ask for an extra towel as there was only one for a room booked for 2 people that never came.

The intercom doesn’t work. They have a mobile number that when you call, no one answers. You can’t reach anyone to order for food or anything. The lock on the door is old, they used some metal stuff to hold the door together. The tv is not clear and it’s set to only one channel Which is a Yoruba channel. The hot water doesn’t come on. Just cold water. The complimentary breakfast is a mess. Just bread and some fried eggs they call omelette. The security man is not always at the gate. We went out and was trying to come in, there was no one at the gate to open the gate. The receptionist who doesn’t answer the phone number that was given us to call incase we want to order for anything, is always on her phone making personal calls. All the staff are dirty looking and have no courtesy. I’m not sure they’re trained. The lights in the room doesn’t work well and the air conditioners have no remote. You have to climb a chair before you can switch off or put on the air conditioners as the switch is way up close to the ceiling.

Property is dirty, Air condition was only turned off on request. The shower stall is dirty and the water flows slowly. i had to check out on my first day of three days booking, I received no refund of part of my money. Very bad experience.
