"This hotel was clean and had beautiful views of the mountains and the lake. I have stayed at a few hotels in Estes and this one was definitely worth it. It is an older building, but the rooms were nice and clean. My only complaint may specifically be my room, but the lighting was very poor. Only 3 dim lamps. Other than that, no complaints about this property."

"I didn't realize that the rooms were self check-in, that there was no office to check in at. Luckily there were some folks at the motel who gave me instructions regarding the lockbox and code. I'm not in the habit of checking email on travel days and didn't see the email from Nicky's resort giving the instructions with code and the lock box. I believe that information should be provided when searching on Expedia or other search websites upon clicking the hotel/motel."

"The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I appreciated having coffee and a refrigerator in the room. My second floor room had windows that faced the front and rear of the property and the views were nice. I enjoyed seeing elk right outside the window. The breakfast was ok - quite a few choices; yogurt, juice, cereal, pastries, toast, biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs & apples. The biggest disappointment was the condition of the outside of the building. It gave me a little bit of a negative first impression. The paint was worn, as were the carpets on the walkways. The cement and asphalt were lumpy, making it somewhat difficult to walk safely. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would stay again."
