Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature. Rusty Shears is a self catering gite in the South West of France. The 1830 stone farm house & barn is situated at the top of the plateau above the Lot valley, 5 minutes from the Cahors vineyards and wine tasting. Set in 5 acres of meadows & walnut orchards our house has been lovingly restored to offer a peaceful and relaxing stay amongst nature in the countryside.
Outside you’ll find a wonderful terrace complete with large hot tub, comfy sofas, BBQ and dining area, surrounded by tomato plants and herbs(in summer) to help yourself to.
With no direct neighbours and fencing means you’ll have total peace and quiet to enjoy the hot tub or sunbathe. There are plenty of options to relax, choice of sun loungers or take to the sofas for an aperitif. If it’s too hot you can open the large sun shade. The raised deck area under the canopy of the tree provides a shady dinning area overlooking the walnut orchard and Cluckingham Palace!
At night the lighting creates the perfect ambiance, making the ideal place to enjoy your evening whether it be a BBQ, star gazing in the hot tub with a glass of fizz or chilling and reading your holiday novel.
The barn is open plan with a fully fitted kitchen, breakfast bar. Dining table, 2 sofas and chair in the living room with tv. Two bathrooms with showers, next to the bedrooms. There is a open fire and central heating for winter. Super fast fibre broadband for remote working.
Rusty Shears is very dog and pet friendly, the outside area of the Gite is well protected with panelling, that will keep you dog secure, although a cat would be able to climb the fence.
There are plenty of walks nearby, with public footpaths accessible directly from the Gite. We also have plenty of land where you can throw the ball!
With notice and an extra cost we can provide breakfast, lunches, evening meal or a picnic. Our speciality being traditional Indian food and vegetarian.
