What a charming hotel in the heart of Knowlton! My room was clean and comfortable, and my sister and I loved the fact that we could walk to local restaurants, shops, etc. was the room chic and modern? No. Did it have everything I needed for a comfortable stay? Absolutely!

Gorgeous, big old-fashioned room with large bed and deep soaking tub. So much more character and charm than chain hotels. Would stay here again in a second.

Recognize this is a very old facility, which absolutely contributes to its charm. The bed was good, I meant to suggest to management (but did not see anyone our departure day) that their tub should have a grab bar for getting in and out as bath mats on tile are slippery. But as an “elder” I take precautions. We were there for the Three Pines “ Louise Penny visit - to see the environs for her stories, imagine the Inspector and his crew settling by the fire at the book store cafe, and so forth. We enjoyed walking downstairs and having our dinner, talking with the staff and lingering in the cozy room. I’d like to suggest a lighting redesign for the fans in the dining room (too bright) but I’m just too detail oriented for my own good.

It was comfortable and welcoming. A wonderful long second floor balcony offered cozy tables and a hammock in this historic building. Very quiet at night and an easy walking distance of places to eat, bookstore, walking trail and the beach. We would happily stay there again.

Overall this is a great spot to stay. Very convenient having a decent restaurant and bar right downstairs. Staff were great and it has everything you need. It’s not a modern building but that’s part of its charm. Rooms were clean and well appointed. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Lovely historic inn, close to shops and eateries, including the restaurant downstairs. Great cassoulet. Good-sized room, with a nice bathroom. If stairs are a problem, you will need to reconsider your options. Loved the long upstairs balcony at the front of the inn where guests can sit, read, have a drink, etc

This is the perfect place to stay for enjoying the Lac-Brome area. Knowlton is a lovely little village, and the Auberge Knowlton is a quaint, well-maintained, centrally located place to be. We loved out room, and the second-floor balcony was a wonderful place to sit and drink coffee and eat a wonderful pastry easily available from the bakery across the street. The restaurant at the hotel is lovely as well. We'll definitely stay there again! Also, if you're coming to this area as a Louise Penny novel fan, this is a perfect spot to feel like you're almost in Three Pines!

Quaint

Auberge Knowlton is quaint and clean but not the place for anyone with physical disabilities. The adjacent Bistro Le Relais is a great asset. Particularly in wintry conditions.

I have stayed at Auberge Knowlton a number of times and am always pleased with the experience. The rooms are clean, the bed comfy, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. I was disappointed that the inn no longer serves breakfast but, given the complications that the pandemic created for the hospitality industry, it is understandable and I hope they will be able to resume that option for guests. We had dinner there and were delighted by the service and the meal in the cozy atmosphere.
