Charming Riverside Cottage with Bike Path, Nearby Eateries, and Horse Facilities
Looking out the window at the banks of the Mayenne River and the towpath, discover this exceptional spot at the Neuville lock. This towpath has become part of the Vélofrancette, a cycling route offering all the amenities for a relaxing stay along the water. Experience the Slowlydays spirit! Explore on foot, horseback, by bike, canoe, or boat.
Evelyne and Lucien will tell you all about the Mayenne region and guide you to discover its treasures: small restaurants, local producers (llama wool, meat, vegetables, etc.). You can also enjoy the dining options at the nearby restaurant Les Copains d'abord and the artisans along the route (including a knife-making workshop just a stone's throw away). If you have horses, you can turn them out in the 2.5-hectare fenced field, which has three paddocks. If you have bicycles, you can store them in a secure garage. By bike, you're 20 minutes from the town of Château-Gontier (8km) via the towpath, where you can enjoy the Refuge de l'Arche (animal park), the marina and the Canotika harbor master's office (bike and boat rentals, etc.), a water park, a museum, and a theater (Le Carré national stage). The town also offers all the shops and restaurants you need.
