The check-in process is a little cumbersome in a location quite a ways away. And we had to make up the beds - not such a big deal. The place needs just a little TLC which we were prepared to give. "Pros: We had a fantastic stay here and would absolutely come back. We were a group of 6 and the house was perfect for us — spacious, very comfortable, and spotless clean when we arrived. "Eingangsbereich mit kaputten Fliesen versehen. Dreckige Küche inkl. dreckigen Geschirr. Kein Licht im Flur (Treppenaufgang). Terrassentür, das Gitter sowie der Rollo war nicht funktionsfähig. Bei Ankunft waren keine Liegen vorhanden, die uns aber nach einer Woche nachgeliefert wurden. Die Couch und die Betten waren dreckig und durchgelegen. Fliegengitter waren teilweise kaputt. Diese Unterkunft können wir leider nicht empfehlen. "

"Just back from 10 days in Caribe. Found the staff to be excellent as ever, special shout to Chus in the breakfast area of San Juan. Always happy and cheery, nothing was too much trouble. Room felt it had seen slightly better days but clean, tidy and well laid out. Air con was good. Perhaps a refurb is required to bring it back up to standard, especially the bathroom. Nothing wrong with it, just tired and a little modernisation needed. Lack of sockets around the bed was a pain so you had to unplug lights to charge your devices so meant that the lighting wasn’t great if you wanted to charge or plug anything else in. Could do with things USB (USB-C) sockets and better lighting overall. Just a bit lacking compared to higher end hotels in terms of visuals and modern amenities. Port Aventura itself was busy during Friday and Saturdays and quiet midweek. Was disappointed compared to previous year’s Halloween theming. Felt that it was really minimalist compared to the what’s been there before and it looked like it had been really cut back. Merchandise was also the same as previous years as well and nothing overly new. As ever, park was clean & tidy, and staff were friendly and helpful. Shows were good as well."

"We had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Pigal in central Tarragona, Spain. The location is excellent—within a reasonable walking distance of the Roman amphitheater, the port, the old town, the central market, and plenty of restaurants. What really stood out, however, was the exceptional hospitality from Charlie, the hotel owner/manager. He was incredibly helpful and spoke excellent English. When we arrived, he immediately took the time to personally show us where to park, which was especially helpful in a busy central location. Charlie also spent considerable time with us going over a city map, pointing out the key sights and explaining the best ways to get around Tarragona. I noticed that he did the same for other guests as well, which says a lot about the personal attention he gives to his guests. He also clearly explained how to use the communal meal area and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was clean, comfortable, and efficiently arranged—exactly what we needed for our stay. The hotel is also very reasonably priced for such a convenient central location. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a clean, well-located, reasonably priced hotel with genuinely personal service. Charlie makes Hotel Pigal feel much more welcoming than a typical hotel."

"Lovely hotel over looking the sea. Very clean. Reception area modern. Breakfast has everything you could ask for, many people were all inclusive but cannot comment on evening meals. Drinks were nice and not overly priced. Walking distance to the beach minutes away. Few restaurants and bars 10 min walk in cap salou but not that much of a choice.Nice promenade walk into Salou which takes around 35-45mins, bus for €2 at the top of the hill if you prefer, or taxi is around €10. Hotel has nice pool including an indoor one, outside has a nice amount of sunbeds which we found there was always space. Rooms nice size with balcony. Wardrobe , free safe, fridge with complmentry drinks presumably if only b&b. Definitely recommend this hotel."
