Our family stayed here for 3 nights and absolutely loved it! We were in Whispering Pines, a small cottage suitable for a family of 3. It had a fully equipped kitchen, large bathroom and comfortable living space. I loved that the cottage had been renovated enough to meet our needs but still retained the old charm. The gardens and patios around each cottage are beautiful and so serene. It's a very short walk down to the beach and walkable to shops and restaurants too. There are 4 parking spots on-site but there's also free parking on the street. If we ever make it back to La Jolla, we will definitely stay here again.

Ovens and coffee makers didn't work. Had to return home on our second night (Thanksgiving) because of a lost key, and multiple phone calls to management (including to the emergency number) got no response. I did notice that several of the units had key pads for entry. Why not all of them?

Did not provide key as repeatedly stated in communications. Did not get it until the next morning, so couldn't have both occupants leave the room. Person not manning office at 9 AM as posted or communicated.
