The property is in a fantastic location. But its very very dated. The rooms are very old. The TV was comically crooked on the wall. They charge you 42 a night to park which is ridiculous. PLUS a 30 something resort fee which is a total joke. Resort?! The rooms arent even as nearly as nice as a Best Western, the pool is tiny and the jacuzzi is the size of my bathtub. The service at the restaurant is beyond horrible. We sat for 23 minutes (we timed it) and were never even greeted. So we left. So did the couple behind us. We wont be back to La Jolla Shores.

Beautiful property. Room was great with high vaulted ceiling with a 3rd floor room. Great views even with a garden view room. Rooms could use a little paint and updating but didn’t take away from the enjoyment of the space. Would 💯 stay again.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed, had a problem with being over charged at first and the manager was quick to fix things. Our stay was one to remember. This will be our yearly vacation spot now, Highly recommend

The Location right on the beach is very nice. It's in a quite and cute park of La Jolla with lots of great restaurants. The busy part of La Jolla is about a 20 min walk away. The hotel itself is a bit dated but the rooms are pleasant and well maintain. Beware of the electric bike rentals! The rental rates are not posted anywhere. A 2.5 hr rental costs us $86 each, with a $20 discount from the hotel. The hotel has a nice patio and pool. The weather was a bit cooler than hoped for while we were there so a bigger hot tub would have been appreciated. Probably not an issue if it's sunny and warm.
