Jim, the owner, was great to speak with regarding everything in the area as well as the background and history of Panama, and was willing to assist or help in anything that you needed. "The furnishings are worn. The second bedroom is only suitable for small children. The house is only a few metres from a busy main road with noisy traffic. The beach is unattractive. The water is too shallow for swimming. And the house is NOT in the “historic centre” of Portobelo, which is several kilometres away and consists of the ruins of a fort and a church. We were so disappointed we left after one night."

"First, when you get to the place you get a huge hill which isnt really easy to get up, they would send someone to help you getting your car up. The place is really nice and quiet. A lot of mosquitoes since its basically a mountain, there is a -jungle- next to the area. Moving around isnt that easy but the staff is willing to help. Had a really long waiting time for the Caribbean Restaurante they work with deliver the food (took around 1 hour and 20 minutes to get a octopus fillet and a pizza) which was not so pleasing. The bad part is that we are in a mountain and they are going to be bugs around cearly, we got a cockroach in our room, we asked for some spray to kill it, but the guy never showed up with it, my husband dont like them at all, so we didnt get a good sleep at night. "
