The hotel is near to the train station which is one stop from Kyoto station and also near to the bus stop. The transport is convenient. Staff are nice. The triple room is a bit small but well-equipped, tidy and comfortable. There are two single beds and one sofa bed. Three single beds instead of a sofa bed is preferred but the fact is that the room is too small for three single beds.

Excellent Quiet Location

Clean, roomy, and convenient location. We stayed for two nights and felt the room was really quite roomy compared to several other places we stayed throughout Japan. There was a fridge, sink, hot pot, tea, coffee, and two chambered restroom. We did not expect there would also be a river view and that was a great surprise. For dinner we enjoyed Dragon Burger where the service and menu were excellent. We then grabbed snacks at the local family mart so that we could have a little breakfast before setting out for Fushimi Inari first daylight. (The shrine is just one train stop away). It was perfect and allowed us to get an early start so that we could see tons of sites on our journey that day. Staying here you will get a very local experience and it will be quite a bit quieter than many places.

Great little piece of heaven close to tofukuji station. I highly recommend staying at this place. Also try the dragon burger that’s super close to it.

Bien situé attention cuisine non réel équipée

Hotel bien situé à 25 min à pied de la gare de kyoto et à cote de la gare JR tofukuji sur la Nara line ( 5 min de train de la gare de kyoto toutes les 15 min). Chambre grande etat impeccable. Un balcon des volets roulant totalement occultant. Donne sur rue un peu bruyante mais j'ai le sommeil léger et cela ne m'a pas empecher de dormir. Gros point negatif : chambre annoncé avec équipement de cuisine. Il y a certe un frigo un micro onde et une table de cuisson mais assietes poeles etc sont en location et ce nest mentionné nulle part sur hotel.com. On s'en ai passé heureusement il y avait 2 verres et 2 mugs. Présence dun lave linge dans la chambre super pratique on etait a mi parcours sur nos 3 semaines au Japon. Personnel accueillant.

Fantastic !

This property is located a short distance from Kyoto Station by train, then 5 minutes walk. The area is very quiet a perfect place to relax without the noise of the big city. Easy connected to different areas. Large bedroom with small kitchen, toilet is separated by the japanese bath. The reception is manager by young people and they speak english always happy to assist you. Traditional and secure. Good price. Enjoy my stay.

First and foremost; had an absolute amazing stay in this property. The locals are super friendly and the area has various small eateries and a convenience store nearby. It is near Tofukuji station which is 1 stop away from Kyoto station and Inari station (if youre planning to go fushimi inari taisha). The room is kept spotless although the toilet is a little small (but then again almost all toilets are small in Japan). But the good thing is the toilet has a climate control which was great. Conveniently theres also a washing machine in the room! The staff is friendly and honest. Id left my gold ring in the toilet, checked out, travelled all the way to osaka when i realised id left my ring in the toilet of the room i was staying at and i just panicked. So i contacted the hotel and not only did they find it and keep it for me, they were also prompt in their replies and had it delivered to my hotel in osaka in 1 day! Im extremely grateful and amazed at their integrity and promptness. Will definitely come back here again!

We love the full kitchen with refrigerator and freezer. The freezer kept the ice cream cold and we were able to make ice. The washing machine was great, we were able get laundry done while were out enjoying the city. Only 5 minutes walk from tofukuji metro stop. Best value property i have stayed in Japan.

편하고 좋았어요.

응대도 친절하시고 캐리어 2개를 열어놔도 충분할 정도로 방이 넓고 조용하고 좋았습니다. 숙소 바로 근처에 역도있고 편의점도 있어 편하긴 한데 주변에 상가가 많지않아 7시만 넘어도 어둡고 사람이 없어요.

This guest house is small and in a quiet residential area. Rooms are self-contained apartments including a comfortable bed and bath with shower which had hot water and good pressure. The shower head is rather small however and the bath too small to lay out in, although it is deeper than most, so you can still cover your knees. The kitchenette was handy, including a hob, microwave and fridge freezer. It was a bit irritating that you have to request utensals/plates etc from reception, we felt these should just be left in the room. Having a washer machine in the room was also helpful, allowing a mid-holiday refresh of the wardrobe (well suit case), with powder available from reception for JPY100 per wash. A feature we did really like was the providing of a mobile phone in the room with international calls and local 4G data access, at know extra charge. This made getting out and about in Kyoto much easier, as we were only using wifi on our personal phones. Wifi at the hotel is provided in all rooms, but we did find it a bit slow. Nearby there are various restaurants and convenience stores. 5mins walk away is Tofakuji station, with regular JR local trains taking just 6mins to reach the main Kyoto station and 45mins if you want to head over to Nara.
