"The hotel has been recently rebranded and is undergoing extensive renovations. The bits they've finished, like the rooms and the dining room, are new and shiny. The room itself was comfortable. It's close to the town, which has good izakaya and other options if you're not on a meal plan. There is also a Lawson close-by. "夏休み、田舎の祖父母の家に遊びにきた感じでした。 宿泊前にハウスルールが送られてくるのでその通りに行動したら良く、セルフチェックインで誰にも気を使うことなく過ごせました。 近所の公民館まで散歩して花火をしたり、夜遅くまで土間でおやつを食べながら話したりとても楽しかったです。 年季が入っている感じなのに清潔で快適でした。 人家の多いアットホームな場所なので、大丈夫かとは思いますが鍵が心許なく、一緒に泊まった友達は部屋に怖い人が入ってくる悪夢にうなされていました。 感受性の豊かな人はそこにちょっと怖さを感じるかもです。 私達もそうしましたが、防犯面に心配のある人は一軒借りるプランではないと安心できないと思います。 調理器具はありますが、凝った料理はできないので外で食べるか、お惣菜を買ってくるか、料金を払ってバーベキューか備え付けのカップ麺等を食べるかするとよいと思います。"

"If you want to take a step off the beaten track in Japan this is a very good option. The hotel is situated in a very good place to explore the Kyoto on Sea area (this is not Kyoto city). The Hotel will send a minibus at certain times of day to pick new visitors up from the railway station. The hotels offers visitors free bike hire for 4 hours and is relatively close to the bus route for exploring other parts of the area. As this is not a city you are limited in the immediate area for places...
