We loved the onsen available on site, but also managed to visit other onsen in town (you can get an onsen hopping pass from the town visitor center). Overall very tranquil and relaxing. One thing to note is that the pillows can be small and you may need to ask for larger or additional pillows. Highly recommend and would visit again. "

"The photos don't do this ryokan justice. We had a semi-western room and it was very large (even compared to other ryokans) - so big it even has a little corridor. Room and overall facilities were quite modern. Dinner and breakfast was excellent. Private onsens require booking and a 1000JPY fee which is ok but half board for my 2 year old child at 5500JPY was quite steep considering what they served (and options are limited given the amount of raw food for dinner). "

Dinner is unbelievably huge and diverse (OMG!), breakfast is fantastic too. Of the two emails I sent, I never got a response. I left some stuff there and asked if it was found and they decided not to answer me. "We booked the hotel the day of the trip as we had change plans due to Typhoon Haishen. When we entrance to the hotel was blocked with a rope and they did not answer the phone. There was noone to get any information, we did not get a cancellation or a notification. We were left in the typhoon with nowhere to go and struggled to find anything for hours during when the weather got really bad. We had to drive under fallen trees, get out of the car to pull branches off road and hide in someone’s...
