Triptych - The Glass House
The Glass House is an exercise in radical transparency - suspended lightly above the earth, it dissolves the boundary between interior and exterior. A sleek bedroom and bathroom accommodate two - just minutes from beaches, trails, surf breaks, and historic Port Arthur.
Here, inspiration is drawn from the slow rhythm of tides, the dance of light, and the raw elegance of Tasmania's bushland. It is part modernist homage, part Tasmanian shack - and entirely unforgettable.
The space
Set on a separate 50-acre title, The Glass House is an exercise in radical transparency. Suspended lightly above the earth, it dissolves the boundary between interior and exterior.
Located on 100 breathtaking acres at Koonya on the Tasman Peninsula - just one hour from Hobart Airport.
More than a residence, TRIPTYCH is a meditation on time, materiality, and the experience of silence.
So extraordinary is its vision that TRIPTYCH was featured on Grand Designs Australia, Season 11, Episode 1 – and internationally celebrated by The Local Project, which described the estate as "an architectural journey into light, stillness and profound spatial clarity."
The Glasshouse is wrapped in glass, blurring the line between indoors and out. Native bush and sweeping bay views frame every angle, while natural light floods the open-plan living spaces to create a bright, welcoming atmosphere.
Inside, a fully equipped kitchen with premium appliances flows to a generous dining and lounge area. A Chiminee Philippe wood heater brings warmth and ambience, perfect for cosy evenings. A king sized bed and neat bathroom on the other side of the divide completes the space.
TRIPTYCH is the result of a profound collaboration between client, architect, and builder – a shared vision to create something lasting, restrained, and deeply connected to place and now available for guests to experience.
