Very pleasant hotel for a long weekend in Konstanz

Very nice hotel for a visit to Konstanz. Great location and nice bar area and close restaurants and grocery store. For the high level of service and quality of accommodation I would have expected room service and USB charging outlets in the rooms. I would have otherwise rated the hotel excellent.

The hotel is well located just in front of the river Rhein. We booked a room with view on it an dit was spectacular! The hotel is perfectly clean and well organised. The personnel is always open to help, smileing, comprehensive. what a lovely discover ! I strongly recommand it !

Good location, great buffet breakfast where can see the lake view, friendly staff to help our queries and requirement. The hotel also provides free local transportation card, it is a bonus. The room is clean and comfy. We received a surprise gift as well. Enjoy our stay!

Modern hotel, on the river front with good amenities. Very light and airy. It is a 20 minute or so walk from the old town / railway station which suited me but worth bearing in mind. My room was large and spacious with a partial view of river. Very pleasant dining room, overlooking river where they serve a very good breakfast with huge choice. On top floor there is a spa, relaxing atmosphere - I booked a massage and the therapist was delightful. Reception staff were helpful and cleaning staff accommodated a special request I had. Great place for a few nights in a lovely town, plenty of nature and walking options nearby.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff at this property. Among the best I have ever encountered. Room does not have: coffee maker, iron ironing board (though front desk will provide one if requested), mini-fridge. Long narrow desk area (OK for most uses, perhaps not for using a separate keyboard with laptop). Most rooms have fairly minimal view of river. Excellent soundproofing against traffic on nearby street if windows left closed. Climate system had no cooling function -- perhaps just turned off during "shoulder" seasons: best to check to verify the rooms have AC in summer (room temp of 25C on arrival against outdoor temp ~ 23C). Nice spacious bathroom shower area.

We stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Isartor. The hotel is centrally located and easily walkable to transit (less than 5 minutes) and the Marienplatz (about 10 minutes). The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had a great view of the river and consequently also received sun all day long so it was a bit warm, despite having a few windows. However, when we mentioned this to the front desk staff, they arranged to have a portable air conditioner to our room within an hour (without us asking). The room was well kept and spacious (we had a family room with 3 adults staying). They have parking arrangements with the garage next door. If you are renting a vehicle and need parking, our recommendation would be to go with a smaller vehicle as the parking spaces and access are tight. We have no hesitation in recommending the Hotel Isartor for your stay in Munich.

Not at all a customer-oriented hotel. The spa costs extra, which is fine, but you don't really figure that out until you're already trying to use it, and then you have to go down to reception, and it's a whole thing. Btw, the bar and its menu look nice but those are some of the worst drinks we'd ever had, which is saying a lot. They are expensive and poorly made. The gym is a joke. Location was mid at best. The room was okay, but overall the staff is a bit rude, and generally this was not an enjoyable place.

Great hotel in prime location along the river…close to everything and spotless! Covered parking adjacent to hotel with direct elevator access. Exceptional breakfast w/omelettes and other cook-to-order choices. Great staff…helped us rent bikes…so pleased we extended an extra night!

Located in new area on nth side river. Easy to get to on bus from train station. 20 minute walk to city center (as long as you don’t get run over by an e- bike). Shopping center across street. Free bus pass for period of our stay was an unexpected and valuable extra. Business style hotel with nice decent sized rooms, AC, good breakfast. If it had mini-fridge and in room coffee this would be a 5 star. Staff very professional. They recommended renting a bike from Zweirad Wagenknecht where we got bikes for lovely ride on bike path from hotel to Insel Reichenau.

Terrible experience

I visited this hotel in December and recently received a letter stating that I hadn't paid the tourism tax of 5.20 Euro. During my stay, my address was still in Germany since I had lived there for two years. However, I permanently left Germany on January 10th, and the letter arrived on January 9th. Due to a busy schedule, I couldn't thoroughly check the letter at that time. Now that I have some time to review the letter, I am surprised to find that it claims I didn't pay the tax, and mentioning German government court or something. I believe the hotel should have requested the tax payment during check-in if it was necessary. Additionally, during my check-in, there was a mix-up regarding the breakfast inclusion despite my reservation clearly stating it. The staff initially claimed my room didn't include breakfast, but after showing my reservation, they apologized for the error. While I understand that mistakes can happen, the recent letter mentioning the German court has left me concerned about the hotel's overall working process. I am really freaked out now and worried if I will have some disadvantage from the German government. I sent the money 5.2 euro and I hope it's not too late
