This time experience was not good. Room thas allotted for the same price 15 days ago was half the size. No latch on the room door. The lock also didn't work. So, lived in a room that could not be locked from outside. For room upgrade,the answer was difference between rack rate and what I paid through hotels.com. Even the commission amount was not offered in the offset price. One set of front staff is good,another is purely commercial. In all I may not stay here in future

Hotels.com screw up landed me in this property

The room was clean and beds were good. However, the utilities were worn and they supplied mineral water at a charge. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is just Indian. No Frills property you get what you pay for. I didn't have a choice as Hotels.com screwed up my previous booking for another better hotel. And had to settle in for this one as no other option was available as per Hotels.com relocation team. Better than staying on the street without a shelter.

I will not suggest anyone about this hotel

Room amenities were very bad. Fan doesn't work, no LCD/LED TV,most of the channels blocked,no phone/intercom, no safety locker though all those things confirmed in hotel website. There was no buffet breakfast, quality of breakfast very low. its not at all 2 star. I had very experience during my 4 nights stay.

The pictures of the bathroom submitted by the hotel to Expedia is false. The room and bathroom are dirty, the refrigerator does not work. I moved hotel. The day manager is non-cooperative. Do not stay here.

Nice hotel. Breakfast quality are not up to the mark. There are no varieties only few and very poor quality food are there. Hotel authority should improve the breakfast quality. Otherwise, all the hotel facilities are up to the mark based on the price of the room.

Hotellet har ett väldigt bra läge för det som de flesta vill se i stan. Det har alla de bekvämligheter som man kan behöva efter att ha varit runt på lite mera spartanska ställen så det är ett utmärkt ställe att stanna en extra natt för att ta igen sig lite. Personalen är väldigt tillmötesgående och det är en bra frukost. Rummen är mycket rymliga och det är ett okej badrum. Det finns värdeförvaringsskåp på rummet och wifi. Det är inte ett väldigt exklusivt hotell men det är ett hotell där man inte har några problem med att känna sig hemma. De har helt enkelt allt som man kan behöva (inklusive morgontidning).

Bad experience

Really bad service, there was no hot water, and the air conditioning did not work. The bathroom was dirty and it was not cleaned properly throughtout the time of the stay. Nothing was done even after the reception was notified. Internet was almost non-existant. Would not recommend.

Cheapie in Great Location

My 4th trip to Calcutta. This is for the budget conscious ONLY. Great Sudder Street location in the heart of Cal. Very BASIC. Bed, bathroom, chair, table, TV, fridge (not going), wardrobe. The bathroom was kind of clean but could do with a scrub. Nothing scary though. Aircon not overly effective but fan worked well. Price is great for the location but there are absolutely NO frills. Everything you need and that's it. Simple brekkie available (4 choices). Price is the best part. Use it as a base or for when the day is too hot.

negative , seems like nobody care

March 3rd 2am arrive at the Astoria 2sudder street, Kolkata 700016, all they worry is how to get extra money from guest , have show me two room dilapidated n then I went down then they show me other room little better , but I took cold shower for 9 days refrigerator is not working , I was tired from my trip 30hours plus , then they put the price tag I have to pay 8523.00 Rupees till my stay of 9 days , front desk is aggressive n is hard to deal with coz of set of mind , so end of my stay I have paid cash of Rupees 8523.00 total , so hope I should get refund , room 204 , only go back to my room for sleep & shower .

Not a good experience

Rooms are not in a good condition walls peeling off, Air cond is beside my bed.. could hardly put it on..the T.V pitcure screen was not good, 2 Big bugs in my bed told the cleaner he sprayed my bed... but the following night i found a bug crawling out of my pillow. Breakfast was supposed to be a buffet.. just bread and butter with a bottls of cereal... one can order just an egg omlette or puri bhaji... the list continues. All i can say if anyone books me in to stay for free i will say a big NO. There was one cleaner who works there who did his job well and was well mannered too.. i stayed in this hotel more than two weeks and it was not at all pleasent.

博物館に近いロケーション

外国人旅行者にとって大切なパスポートを預かると言われて、5分程で返すと言われたにもかかわらず、2時間たっても返してくれず、痺れを切らして、こちらから取りに行ったら、言い訳ばかりで、話にならない。部屋に入ってシャワーを浴びようとしたら、お湯どころか、水も出なくて、フロントに電話して修理してもらいました。たまたま、自分のフライトが夜中出発で、自分の体調が良くなかったから寝過ぎるといけないので、waikupcall をpm10時してくれるように頼んだら、夕方からくる従業員に言うように言われた？
