I chose this resort because it looked like a place that was authentic Thai environment. It did not disappoint. Our beach front cottage was old, for sure, but well kept and the decor was very cool. Plenty of room for my family of four. Lots of privacy thanks to all of the greenery.
The staff was very helpful. We had a few issues the first night but they were all taken care of within a few hours when we notified management the next day. Laundry service onsite was excellent.
I highly recommend this place of you're looking for a private, quiet space to retreat to after enjoying all that Samui has to offer.
Villa B6 - Superb Location, Accommodation and Host
My partner and I and another couple booked into Beachfront Samui Villas - Villa B6. The Villa was one row back from the beach in a fabulous tropical garden setting. The villa was very clean and decked out with very comfortable traditional Thai furniture.
The hosts Maz and Why were fantastic. They left fresh fruit, bread, butter, milk and coffee for us on our arrival which was a great touch and also greeted us with a drink which was inside a coconut.
I asked if they could leave an acoustic guitar at the property and it was great to see it there when we arrived.
The wifi was a bit shaky at the start but Maz got that sorted right away and we had a full signal within a day. They also helped us by printing off our boarding cards for departure.
There was a great wee bungalow operation about 100 yrds along the beach to the east which was great for breakfast and evening meals on the beach when we couldn't be bothered going out. Prices were excellent. if you fancy something a bit more up market you could go the other way along the beachfront and get pretty much the same food at twice the price!!!
There was a full moon when we were there so the water was quite high and covered the whole beach when the tide was in.
If you want to go out and about I would advise hiring some motorbikes or a jeep as the property is more than walkable from the closest town. We had a pick up truck which did the job.
A great Villa and great price. We would definitely go back.
The beach villa is located a few yards away from the water, so you always have an uninterrupted gorgeous seaview. The house has a private outdoor terrace with lots of seating space. The front yard is equipped with your private beach chairs and umbrellas, so that you can lounge just a few yards away from the water. The beach is quite narrow, but very quiet with few passers by. House reef (not too colorful but pleasant nonetheless) is a beautiful addition to the attraction, so bring snorkeling masks.
The house is traditional Thai - which means that it is a bit darker, bed and pillows a bit too stiff and the bathrooms are quite simple. But the view outweighs all that. Would not recommend to older travelers because the house has a few levels and often you step up into a room or step down into a bathroom and the stairs leading up are quite steep. You do have a kitchenette, which is very handy. The owners provide much appreciated fruits and a few snacks upon arrival. One thing to keep in mind - if you are looking for a secluded beach - you got it, but it comes with the price of virtually nothing around - closest convenience shop is about a 10-15 min walk away. Few restaurants around but nothing spectacular. about 30 min walk along the beach you find a fishing village with outdoor restaurants, which we enjoyed. This worked for us, because we wanted peace and quiet above all, but keep that in mind to avoid disappointment. Overall a really nice getaway from the hustle and bustle.

Our entire stay was perfection at The Natives, from airport pick up, fresh coconuts on arrival, a welcome pack including bread and milk in the fridge to the superb location, lovely pool and proximity of two excellent restaurants just a short walk along the beach away! Would recommend to anyone

Excellent staff!!! Not beachfront.
The staff is fantastic. They take great care of the facilities, are very friendly, and filled the cottage with goodies (juice, beer, cereal, milk, chips, etc.) to start off our stay. They also picked us up at the airport. I can't say enough wonderful things about their courtesy.
THE COTTAGE IS NOT BEACHFRONT. It is on the second row. There are four cottages right on the beach and two on the second row. So the resort is beachfront but the cottage is not.
Since the ads say "beachfront" I don't know how you can tell the cottages apart. A problem also is that there is very little beach in front of this property, so it disappears at high tide. Farther down the beach it is wider.
The cottage itself is very nice. The kitchen could use a few more pots and pans but, unlike many of other rental properties, there were plenty of glasses and dishes. The front porch is wonderful and covered so that you can sit comfortably when it rains. The air conditioners worked well. Water pressure is low, but the showers have an on-demand heater so hot water was plentiful. The pool was well maintained and cleaned regularly.
Overall I'd say we had a great time (except for 2 weeks of poor weather) and my major complaint is the deception about the cottage being beachfront.
