A local hotel, old but clean. Very close to station and only 3 stops to the downtown area. (Kobe and Sanomia)
Of course, downtown is still the best choice but this one is good alternative if you can’t find a good price in the city.
The staff spoke enough english for us to be able to communicate with my very limited Japanese.
The hotel look is a little dated but still very clean, washing machines however are in the parking lot on the side of the building.
Without speaking Japanese, the staff assigned me my room quickly, and replaced a room key I left in the room. The room cleaning was thorough. Everything worked. I would stay at this hotel again.
“I chose and decided to stay at this hotel because I thought it offered good value for the price. However, during my stay, I noticed that other hotels in the city center were also offering competitive rates. So, if I have to make the same choice next time, I would likely opt for a hotel in the city center instead.”
The air-conditioner was set at the coldest setting (because it was not working well) and we were still much too warm the entire 2-days stay, in 2 separate rooms.
The pillows are hard, with bead like stuffing; even hurts the ears. We had to use our bath towels instead.

Liked: Cleanliness
**The positives: *Standard business hotel room, but with a pretty comfortable bed, a TV which I think was 4K and a fairly spacious, clean bathroom. *Shower was warm and comfortable. *The window opened slightly, which is always nice. *Ample vending machines in the area. *Coin laundry was on the cheap side: 200 yen washes, dryer was 100 yen per 30min. **Neutral: The route from the elevators to the door lead past the front desk, but you're able to walk on the far side of a big column if you don't want to be seen. (Which I don't. I'm...not sociable.) **The negatives (all of which are pretty minor): *Leaky bathroom faucet, although I never heard it. *This hotel has a big disparity between "niceness of the TVs and filthiness of the elevator carpets." TVs: Really nice. Elevator carpets: Pretty filthy. *Area was kinda noisy and a bit busy for my tastes. *Coin laundry was cheap but the machines were also outside. It was February when I was there -- I had to factor in "freezing my butt off" when deciding whether or not to use them (which I didn't). *~Occasionally~ heard neighbors. I think I heard people out on the street (through a closed window) more often, to be honest.
