About this property

Tilty House in the Hidden Hills

  • Find comfort in this cozy, nearly 100-year-old cottage tucked away at the end of a quiet lane. Although it’s located in town, it feels like the countryside, surrounded by open fields, rolling hills, and frequent visits from local deer. This charming home offers two bedrooms, one bathroom, vintage character, and a gentle but noticeable tilt that comes with its age. The second bedroom doubles as a fun kids’ space with bunk beds and two arcade machines. Relax around the fire pit, grill on the BBQ, and enjoy the peaceful scenery. One kind elderly neighbor lives next door with a rustic, well-loved yard.

    The space

Nestled at the end of a quiet dead-end street, this cozy two-bedroom, one-bath cottage offers privacy, comfort, and a unique Klamath Falls experience. There are only two nearby neighbors, both on one side of the house, while the rest of the property overlooks open fields, rolling hills, and native brush. The adjoining field is perfect for morning walks, sunset strolls, or casual bike rides.

Inside, the home is warm and inviting with a lived-in vintage feel that reflects its nearly 100 years of history. The primary bedroom features a comfortable queen bed. The second bedroom doubles as a fun kids’ space with a full-over-twin trundle bed and two arcade machines, including one loaded with nearly 1,000 classic games for all ages to enjoy. Guests will also find a variety of board games, family activities, and an Xbox with Game Pass for relaxing evenings indoors.

Bedroom 2 features a full-over-twin trundle bed. The twin mattress is on the pull-out trundle beneath the full bed and has only a mattress protector on it. A twin fitted sheet, flat sheet, and comforter are located in the dresser so guests can make up the trundle bed as needed.

Both bedrooms, along with the living room and kitchen, are equipped with heating and air conditioning to help keep guests comfortable year-round.

Despite its peaceful setting, the home is within walking distance of movie theaters and several restaurants along Campus Drive. Downtown Klamath Falls is just a short drive away and offers coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, and seasonal community events. Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT) is also nearby, making this an ideal place to stay for visiting families, students, or guests attending local events.

Many guests enjoy watching deer wander through the property, relaxing around the fire pit, or grilling while taking in the hillside views. Whether you’re visiting Crater Lake National Park, fishing or kayaking on Upper Klamath Lake, or simply looking for a quiet place to unwind, this home offers a comfortable stay with plenty of local character.

    Guest access

Guests have access to the entire house and property except for the supply closet in the second bedroom, the locked basement, and the small outbuilding behind the house. The outbuilding is planned to become a play area in the future but currently needs repairs.

The adjoining field is open to explore and provides beautiful views overlooking the town.

    Important things to know

    1. The neighborhood

The surrounding neighborhood is older, and some homes show their age or have well-loved yards. It is a safe, quiet, and friendly neighborhood, but it is not a newly developed or polished subdivision. We’ve owned this home for more than 11 years and have always appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and wonderful neighbors.

Because the neighborhood is so quiet, we kindly ask guests to be respectful of those living nearby.

    2. The home

This house is nearly 100 years old, and it proudly shows its age. It is clean, comfortable, and full of character, but guests should expect an older home with uneven floors and a noticeable tilt, especially in the kitchen.

If you appreciate vintage homes with personality rather than modern perfection, we think you’ll feel right at home.

We have poured a tremendous amount of time, work, and love into restoring and caring for this home. We kindly ask that you treat it with the same care and respect during your stay. Thank you so much, and we hope you enjoy your visit!

Quirky but nice house that is convenient to everything we wanted to do in KF. The owner quickly responded when we managed to accidentally lock ourselves out of the house. It was a great value that I would recommend.

A video gamer's paradise! My son really enjoyed all the gaming options and had a blast. The floor was definitely "tilty" and added to the experience. The location was quiet and off the beaten path. The owners were very responsive and friendly. The only recommendation I would make is that the plates and bowls provided should be replaced with microwave-safe ones.
