  • Are you looking to chase those picturesque sunsets that the Outer Banks is known for? Book your next vacation at "Fish & Ships," where you and your family will have a front row seat to the witness sunburst skies into the calm of night. This home is quietly situated in Kitty Hawk Landing, an unbuildable peninsula, which is home to some of our local bird species such as the Osprey, Gull, Egret, Heron, and even a rare Bald Eagle. "Fish & Ships" features a spacious layout, giving your family space to relax or gather for meals. You will have access to a private boat dock, as well as a ping pong table in the garage, and cornhole game for outside entertainment. The yard is fenced in so the whole family can have a stress free time while outdoors, including your dogs!

    If you are feeling adventurous, try catching your own dinner right out of the back yard! The water teems with shrimp and blue crab, and one will heat the frequent splash as mullet leap into the air. The variety of sport fish in the canals is sure to please any fishing enthusiast. You and your family will enjoy community amenities such as a boat ramp and picnic area.

The house was clean, spacious, comfortable, and everything worked! And the setting is absolutely lovely. The sunsets are five star! My friends and I had a wonderful week and highly recommend this house to anyone.

The Best Labor Day Weekend

We have been visiting the Outer Banks for over 25 years and this house was one of our absolute favorites. The view from the back deck was one of the best parts!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental was perfect for our family of 5, grandmother, aunt and two dogs. It had lots of gathering space both inside and out, with a secure fence for the dogs and walkable neighborhood. The boat launch was easily accessible (4 houses down), and we docked our boat behind the house with no issues. We were able to paddleboard/kayak easily from the house. The kitchen was well appointed, and all was clean. Basement space perfect for storing all our gear, and the pingpong table got lots of use! Only improves - Add cleats to the dock to tie the boat more easily, add curtains / blinds to the downstairs western facing windows - the sun was blinding when we sat to eat at 6 or so, and provide a dustpan so we could clean after ourselves more easily. Otherwise, perfect!!

The home is quiet, clean, nicely equipped and only a short drive to restaurants. Sunsets were just amazing!
