Close to the beach!

We had a wonderful stay. The house is older but charming and had absolutely everything we needed. My husband and I, in our 60's, have some physical issues. This house is very close to the beach and the ocean so getting back and forth to the beach was a breeze. There were boogie boards, chairs, umbrella and beach canopies all provided. The photos on VRBO are not exact as the dunes have risen since the walkway was built but still super easy to get to the beach. We would stay here again. Good places to eat close by.

This plase is filthy and in desperate need of some tlc

Location is great. House needs cleaned. Ceilings and fans are filthy. Mold in the shower is just nasty. Screen doors are construction fence not screening. Deck is falling apart in places. Dont plan on using the picnic table. It is unusable. Furniture is shabby and broken down. I could say more but will stop here

Beach Baby

We had an enjoyable stay at Beach Baby. It’s a basic older beach cottage with nice outdoor spaces. The pictures of the ocean side of the house could use updating, as the view and beach access have been taken over by the dune. The dune is six to eight feet taller than when the pictures were taken. That said, it’s still a nice little place.

Family Beach Vacation

The house was perfect for access to the beach but was a little disappointed since the house was not furnished with toilet paper, paper towels or trash bags.

great property

The house and location were awesome and we very much enjoyed our stay. There was an issue with the electrical in the back bedroom, however, there was an electrician there to fix it (arranged 100% by the property managers) in less than 10 hours so it was a small hiccup in an otherwise great stay. The house was super clean and ridiculously adorable and just perfect for our family vacation. The pictures are a bit dated as some of the furniture has been changed and some of the outside furniture is showing its age but this was a minor detail for my family. Thanks for a wonderful first trip to the Outerbanks!

Property manager was very quick at responding to small problems 😊 but the property is very shabby. Rain water drips stained the ceiling, doorway entrances were covered in grease dirt & grime, grass & sand covered the front stairs, fragrances were sprayed to mask orders in the home. This is not a property I would recommend.

Kennedy/Beach Baby Stay

This is Mrs. Belinda Kennedy responding. The major thing Beach Baby has going for it is it's proximity to the ocean. The cottage is really in need of some maintenance. The screen door greets you with the look of having been attacked by a group of rabid dogs. Chewed up! How much does a screen door cost?? The countertop was marred from someone setting a hot pan on the formica. The cabinet beside the sinks has a ragged, unfinished edge. How much does a piece of quarter round molding cost?? The bathtub floor moves up and down depending on where you stand on it. It appears to me that the wood under the linoleum in front of the tub and under the tub probably needs to be replaced. The steps to the front door haven't had the sand blown off in so long that there is grass growing in the divides between the boards. My overall impression was that whoever owns Beach Baby must be renting it, expecting groups of young people as opposed to senior citizens such as us. My impression is that they are renting it to make money and must plan one day to knock it down and build a home for themselves that they don't want to rent. I liked the sofa and living room, upholstered chairs. The kitchen table was very nice. There was a stinky odor coming from the kitchen sinks like someone had put food down the drain and it was sitting in the pipe rotting. There is little to no closet space. I chose Beach Baby because it allowed pets, it was on the water and it appeared to be an easy access from the beach to the deck. Operative word "appeared." If I were a college kid, I'd be happy to be there. As a senior citizen, not so much.
