  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Our first Christmas at the beach. This house was comfortable and cozy and felt like home in so many ways. The glowing fireplace added to our experience and we loved being a few steps away from the beach. Winter at the beach is wonderful!

Property is in a perfect location with both ocean access and a private pool. Plenty of space and bedrooms with bathrooms. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes/pans and there is plenty of ice. The Vacation Home is a little dated and could use a good cleaning as far as the appliances (on the outside). There were a lot of fingerprints from previous renters which made you feel the kitchen was dirty. The Pool area had leaves/debris from the winter months. Overall it is an excellent place to stay while on Vacation and we would rent this home again. Just some minor housekeeping issues. 5 Star

Christmas Vacation

Lovely home by the beach. Kitchen had all the cookware and dishes you could possibly need. Big bedrooms and a really nice den made it easy to be together for the holiday. Awesome stay!

Week in time

Not your typical cookie cutter rental property. Smaller yet spacious, we enjoyed each little nook and cranny. All comforts required for a perfect vacation addressed. Awesome quiet neighborhood with plenty of beach for all! Thank Blocher family for sharing this gem!

Great location and house layout.

Great location and house layout. The house wasn’t as clean as expected upon checking and the key code on the door was broken. The rental management company didn’t try to call back after leaving several voicemails over the weekend but one of our party was able to reach them the first business day and they sent a cleaning crew back to do minimal cleaning. Overall the location, house, and vibe was perfect and our group had a great time.

Perfect location for our beach week.private beach access was great. Pool and deck facing the ocean was very nice. Was told there was a Keurig but there wasnt. Wish we knew there were a few beach chairs but all in all a perfect week

Great spot for families in Duck

We loved the location of this property in Duck, with a private walkway to the beach, amazing views, hot tub and pool. The home is equipped for people of all ages to enjoy and generous-sized rooms. Lots of space to relax and have some private space and also a nice dining table to fit everyone. Cooks will enjoy the high quality supplies. We would love to come back.

Great location!

The house overall was very nice. LOTS of TVs, plenty of space for a large group to spread out. The house needs some basic upkeep, and a few items we requested to be repaired while we were there (gas fireplace was not working, door to outside porch was broken). The management company was quick to supply a fix, but we came to find out we were not the first ones to ask for a repair. Kitchen was well stocked, but large kitchen table was in need or repair or replacement. Mattresses on several beds need to be replaced. With a little TLC this place will be a gem! Elevator was perfect! Hot tub was well maintained and very pleasant to use. Location was fabulous! Living room furniture in three locations throughout the house all showing their age. But overall, we enjoyed our first time away from our home in a year because of Covid. Thanks to the managing company for responding so quickly, your staff was excellent!

Excellent vacation spot!

We loved the house, especially it’s location in Duck and distance to the beach! Beautiful deck and pool area, tons of kitchen equipment (pots/pans, plates/utensils, general cooking necessities). We also were very grateful for the early check-in being available. Only gripe was that the floors were pretty dirty (mostly pet hair).

Fantastic time

Property was perfect for our family. The bedroom layouts were absolutely ideal. Kitchen fully stocked complete with a large kitchen table for our evening meals together. The view from top floor master was stunning, it would be perfect if there was a deck off that master. Nicely situated between the town of Duck and Corolla. Great neighborhood and beautiful beach. It was a great time and we can’t wait to get back.
