Shepherds Patch Is A Large Thatched Cottage In Thurlestone with a parking space.
Shepherds Patch is a charming large detached thatched cottage with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, sleeping up to 10 people, situated in the heart of the quaint village of Thurlestone with an off road parking space.
The property has been refurbished and now benefits from light and spacious rooms all of which are beautifully presented. The sandy beach and spectacular coastline of the South Devon coast are approximately half a mile away.
On entering the property through the thatched entrance porch, you are welcomed by a large hall featuring country style decoration, which affords access to all the ground floor rooms.
The beamed lounge benefits from a feature fireplace with electric fire, leather sofas, TV, DVD and a range of antique furniture. The conservatory can be accessed through double doors and overlooks the garden and patio area.
The spacious rustic cottage-style kitchen incorporates an Island unit and is well equipped with modern facilities including a washer dryer, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave and range cooker. The dual aspect dining room, accessed off the hall and the kitchen, incorporates a large dining table with seating for ten people, and a complimentary range of traditional furniture. The ground floor also features a cloakroom with W.C and wash hand basin.
Wooden stairs lead to the first-floor landing, off of which are three double bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. Two of these bedrooms have four poster beds and all benefit from a range of antique furniture and super views over the garden.
All three en-suite bathrooms have either a bath or a shower plus a wash hand basin and w.c.
The second floor incorporates two, twin bedded rooms which have been delightfully furnished in a traditional design. They both share a bathroom, with bath, w.c. and wash hand basin.
Outside, the enclosed garden enjoys secluded privacy and has been well stocked with a variety of plants and shrubs. There is a small lawned area, a patio with furniture for dining alfresco, and at the side of the property, there is an off road parking space. Additional street parking can be found nearby in the village.

ABOUT THE LOCAL AREA.
The famous coastal village of Thurlestone is renowned for its abundance of thatched pink and cream-washed cottages, its 13th Century church, the village shop and the traditional local inn. Backed by rolling farmland and a sprawling cliff top golf course, the village is ideally situated for those wanting to explore the locality, especially with the benefit of the South Devon Heritage path which runs through Thurlestone.
There are two main beaches at Thurlestone. The smaller of these, Thurlestone Sands, is near to The Thurlestone golf club and at the Southern end of the beach, you can explore the rock pools around the spectacular arched rock to which the village owes its name. The larger beach is further along the coast in the direction of South Milton. Both have fine shingle and sand coverings and are in sheltered locations. Surfing, windsurfing and canoeing are all popular activities at the beach and, during the summer months, a range of sports equipment can be hired. There are many other beaches to explore along this beautiful coastline, including Hope Cove, Bigbury and Bantham. Nearby attractions include Salcombe, (famous for sailing), Agatha Christie's Burgh Island, historical market towns of Totnes and Modbury, Dartmouth, Dittisham and Dartmoor.
