For first time visitors to Hawaii, this was the perfect place to rest our heads! Kihei is a great, sunny beach town, and Pacific Shores Unit 403 was located in the perfect spot: up high enough for amazing views of the ocean, mountains, birds and almost directly across the street from the most delightful beach.
Two bedrooms and bathrooms gave everyone some breathing space, the kitchen was great for the occasional evening that no one felt like going out, and the cross-ventilation and ceiling fans meant that we didn't need air conditioning at all in late March.
On top of all this, Pam and crew keep this place spotless and supplied us mainlanders with all the tools we would need for a great beach experience (except for sunscreen. Bring lots of sunscreen!!).
Our only quibbles were things that the owners can't control: these buildings are aging. The pipes squeaked, and the elevator lurched. We could deal with that since Charlie Young Beach is so near, and we honestly walked almost everywhere.
Thank you to Pam and family for sharing their home with all of us!
