Loved Maui

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kihei! The area was amazing, pool was beautiful and clean. Our house was stocked with everything we needed and property manager was helpful in assisting with some accessible accommodations we needed for a guest who was in a wheelchair. We would love to go back!

Delayed vacation

Our daughter was planning on getting married on the island in September. It was decided that she wouldn’t be able enjoy her day knowing there was so much suffering going on with the fires. Our host graciously rebooked us. We came with another couple and enjoyed our stay completely. The facilities, and the condo were great. Just as advertised. Thank you.

Family trip

This was perfect for our four generation group of 10 people , ranging in age from 18 months to 80. The condo was well laid out to accommodate that many people and we appreciated the extra little touches like a very well appointed kitchen, beach and sand toys for the kids, lots of beach towels and a list of restaurant recommendations. Only change we would make would to have stayed longer

Maui Vay Kay

Location was quite central to much of Maui and a 4 min walk to the beach. Nice beach in the morning, windy in the PM. Nice accommodations and a good base for other activities. Good for extended family gatherings.

Excellent place... Just don't expect help from the property manager if anything goes wrong.

The place is excellent and just like the pictures. Pros: 1. Clean & well-stocked 2. Lots of towels and kitchen supplies 3. Nice pool area 4. Beach was a close walk and is beautiful 5. Kid friendly 6. Nice Lanai surrounded by tropical foliage (see below on this) Cons: 1. Communications with the property manager 2. Noisy inside/outside unit due to traffic. The unit is located right next to busy S. Kihei Road. 3. There is a permanent resident next door who smokes on his lanai. Nice guy but beware he smokes non-stop and the smell wafts over. We didn't say anything to him. 4. Very long walk from the parking lot and no wagon available to help transport groceries/beach gear back and forth from unit BEWARE of Michael, the Property Manager. He is rude and condescending. We woke up one morning to find our lanai covered in pollen and swarming with thousands of bees due to a nearby palm tree. I phoned him and he said he would have it taken care of. The next day nothing done yet, I texted him and he said "3 weeks so I suggest you buy a fly swatter so you can continue to enjoy your lanai". In regards to the pollen, he said "They will come by with their leaf blower, how would you like to pay?" He quoted us an exorbitant amount of money. If anything goes wrong you'll have absolutely no help. In the end the bees/pollen were never removed and the lanai was unuseable and unsafe. For this reason I cannot give the place more than 3 stars.

I find the check in and out process contradictory to the maintenance and cleanliness of the home.

First of all, the location was close to everything. The pool was absolutely incredible and the hot tub was fun after dark. The home itself was very well stocked with just about everything we needed to have a good stay - cooler, beach chairs and towels, etc. The home had a good layout for an adult family. Now for the reason for my title. We weren’t given the code until after 4 pm to check in, and as we were locating the unit (a VERY far walk from the parking area) I was greeted by the housekeeper who told me the kitchen faucet was leaky. Not only was it leaky, but you had to slam it from a counter clockwise position to get it to stop streaming all together. The faucet in the hall bath shower fell off the first time my mom used it. The shower heads in the other bathrooms were leaky as well. The AC was barely pumping so my brother and husband checked the filters. They were coated in a very thick layer of human funk - hair, dust, etc. We cleaned all of the filters ourselves with the outside hose and voila, the ac was pumping cold. There were very few washcloths available, and all of the white towels were dingey and stained. The washcloth I used had a giant brown circular stain right in the middle of it. If I had more space in my suitcase, I would have purchased my own set of towels to use. There was urine on the backside of the toilet. Baseboards everywhere lookedbad Maintenance is totally ignored, cleanliness was sub par, yet instructions to vacate were extremely strict.

Family vacation

The condo was awesome for a family of 10… 8 adults and 2 kids, ages 8 and 10. 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms were good. Kitchen was well stocked.The beach/pool towels were limited. We said 10 people - that’s exactly how many small,thin, used towels we got. And to use for both beach and pool was kinda frustrating. Bath towels were the same - they weren’t worn and thin but there were 15 big towels, limited wash cloths, and a few hand towels. I know this sounds petty, but when we asked for more - we were told that 10 beach towels was enough and 15 bath towels was enough also. washer and dryer constantly running.! Plumbing needs some repair. The lawn outside the front door had just had some work done and was repaired but obviously it didn’t matter what it looked like after they were done- very unappealing! The sprinkler system for the grounds watered our outside deck in the afternoon. All in all our stay was great… it’s just that when good money is coming in for the rental every week , a guest staying there wonders why decent Towels aren’t provided.

Kihei Fun

This is a beautiful roomy condo with everything needed inside and out for a relaxing stay with family. The large pool with hot tub and the shuffleboard area was a big hit. Sunny areas as well as shade was available and so close to our condo. The large grassy area off the lanai was enjoyed. Although, not located on the beach side of the road, many beaches are nearby. We enjoyed checking out different ones.

Great for family

We had 10 of us. Grandparents, 2 sets of parents and 4 grandkids ranging from 8pm this to 7 years old. The place was perfect. It provided our own space and family space. There was a Pack n Play on site so we didn’t need to pack one. We needed a high chair and the property manager located one and dropped it off. It made it so much easier to feed the baby. There was construction on the unit next door but the construction workers started well after we were up, and closed down for the day so it wasn’t bothering us when we put the kids to bed. They kept everything tidy while they were working. There were beach toys, lawn chairs and plenty of beach towels. If you go, stop and grab life jackets, sunscreen, and goggles at Walmart. It a lot less expensive. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with our family. We will be back! Rick & Sue

Fantastic family vacation

We spent a fantastic week at Koa Resort unit 5F with our 2 children, their spouses, and our 5 grandchildren. The pool was a huge hit, spent time there every day. The condo was pretty much exactly as described, with space for everyone, and perfect for our stay on Maui. Kelli was quick to respond if we had concerns, and so wonderful to talk with. Nice central location with beach across the street. We made some beautiful memories!

Great for families

Great pool! jacuzzi, tennis courts, ping pong, foosball, for kids-need new ping pong paddles and a bigger jacuzzi would be nice since so many adults/kids want to use it.

Family vacation in Maui

Overall our stay was fantastic. The unit was located close to the pool and beach. The amenities in the unit were above our expectations. We would definitely recommend this unit to any family looking for a vacation rental.

Great base location to see the island

The place was excellent as a base to visit the island but was not the scenery we pictured for Maui- had to visit other areas to see the beauty of Maui. Also, the house itself was right on the road which was somewhat loud when outside or on the patio, otherwise was Not an issue. Overall house was great, sleep sofa was comfortable and house was well stocked- excellent stay.

Destination wedding/Family vacation

Everything was just as described, there were no surprises. Plenty of room for 7 adults and 2 children. Everyone had there own private space and the communal space was inviting and spacious enough for all. The condo grounds were immaculate and the pool was crystal clear. The proximity to the ocean was great. Right across the street from the turtle sanctuary and a long stretch of beach. Great for the little ones and those that want to boogie board. The communications from the property management were comprehensive. I highly recommend this property.

This condo was AMAZING!!!!!!

Aloha, Kelly is an amazing host! I looked for an iron in all the rooms and did not find one and called Kelly; she went out of her way to get one for me . I loved the freshness and cozy vibes this condo offered . My kids loved that the pool was literally in front of us . The little patio was everything and was where we would chill after a long day. I have no bad things to say about this condo . Kelly you and your team are awesome. I cannot wait to go back .

This condo was a good set up for our family of six adults and 3 kids. Had a lot of road noise as it was on a corner...was well equipped and close to a beach that was very quiet....needed a little tlc here and there...but all in all a good experience...
