Oceanfront property with beautiful beaches and outdoor activities just yards from your front door. #102 at Kauhale Makai is the perfect spot for a couple visiting Maui. This adorable studio has everything you need for a comfortable stay on one on the most beautiful islands in the World at a fabulous price.
Living area features queen bed with large wall mounted TV, storage space and comfy sofa that is also a pull out sleeper that is perfect for those traveling with kids.
Kitchen is fully equipped with all you will need to whip up meals to be enjoyed al fresco on the lanai or at the picnic areas after grilling up some steaks. Full bathroom has tub/shower combo for those looking to enjoy a nice soak after that necessary waterfall hike.

This beautiful condo offers central AC to keep cool year-round. Coin operated laundry room located on each floor allows for lighter packing.

Kauhale Makai meaning “Village by the Sea” is a sprawling oceanfront resort. For your enjoyment there are two Pools, Hot Tub, Gas BBQ area, Putting Green, Volleyball Court, Sauna and two Shuffle Boards. Public tennis courts are adjacent to the property. Perfectly situated on the ground floor of the North Anthurium building, this condo unit allows for easy access to all these amenities as well as popular Keaka Beach.
Great location in North Kihei just minutes to grocery stores, dining, and shopping. Centrally located on island makes easy access to Kihei, Kahului, Westside as well as Upcountry and the Road to Hana.

While we strive to keep all photos up to date, there may be new and updated pieces of furniture or décor that are different than in the original pictures. The functionality, available seating and sleeping space will remain the same or may improve.Other things to notePlease note: Your personal email address will be requested at the time of booking. You will be required to sign a rental agreement. Arrival information will be emailed to you within a week of your check in date, so long as your rental agreement has been completed.

Starting from April 22nd, 2024, the pool will be temporarily closed until May 6th, 2024, for maintenance.

Condo was great. Only thing we noticed was drapes were stained or noticeably dirty and side of fridge looked like a condiment war had taken place. Otherwise we had an excellent time and really enjoyed the condo. Mahalo

Was not the cleanest. Found poop stains on towels, hair in the bed sheets, and the wifi did not work at all. They couldn’t send someone in to fix it. The beach by it was nice, though

Arrived at dusk when it was a bit dark. Knowing which of the 2 bldgs my unit was in prior to arrival would have been helpful. Also knowing where to access the entry area would have helped. Eventually found the walkway. After 5 the office staff are gone… The unit d/n have the best view but was in a quiet area. The A/C unit was tricky to set comfortably -it was usually too or cold too warm. Kitchen stocked with pots, pan’s & utensils but went to local store for things like foil, saranwrap etc It was quiet inside the unit which was a big plus. Did not hear any noise being on ground floor unit- very nice. Unit was cozy. Fine for one or 2. The property location is just 20 min from airport. And its easy to get around the island from the location. The bbq pool & hottub are nice amenities. there are many units here but we managed to get our tub time & met pleasant fellow travelers there.

We enjoyed our stay and was impressed how well stocked this little place was. Had everything we needed plus extras. The only two things that were a little disappointing was the lanai is facing the parking lot so its not really enjoyable and the mattress could be upgraded. Also, we had problems with the wifi and they came right away to fix it. If you just need a place to stay & not spend a lot of time inside this place is a little gem.

We were very comfortable at this condo, it is on a nice property that is quiet and peaceful. The property management gave clear check in and check out instructions and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The only thing we wish the condo had was a ceiling fan. We did not always need the AC but a fan would have been nice to move fresh air in from the Lanai.

The condo was clean and well-equipped, especially the kitchen. The only suggestions I have are; a.) fix the A/C unit so it actually cools the room (or provide an electric fan to help people cool off), and b.) replace the bed pillows because they smell of stale body dander. These were only small things to me and not worth complaining about. I really did love being here and enjoyed my stay immensely.

For the most part the stay was great. The only downside was I didn't get a check-in email giving me the details. We had to call multiple numbers to figure out what to do and the response came via text. But we were able to get into our condo. Other then that great place, good location. Thanks.

Pros- short walk to the beach, short drive to tons of amenities and shopping, all needed items in room, host had awesome communication. The Wi-Fi was down so they had a hot spot in place for us, very kind to have that set up in advance. Cons- older property, pool is not heated, not enough storage for luggage, bed is older and lumpy, appliances were slightly unreliable. Example, toaster sparks on the right side, burnt toast on the left side on a setting of 3, not quite toasted at a 2. Shower is in the tub, but there is a head on either side, interesting. Bathroom sink was slow to drain, nothing that needed to be fixed immediately. Had to make our own bed, could be due to asking to arrive an hour early. A lot of the dishes were in the dishwasher upon arrival, so we spent some time putting dishes away when we were settling in. Could use some more outlets, or a power strip, we struggled to rearrange plugs to charge devices, make coffee, etc. Found we were missing a few items, but once we sent a text, they were provided quickly (beach towel, dust pan). Not the owners fault, just overall the unit and service could use some upgrades. We didn’t understand why we couldn’t use the outside door closest to the unit, apparently that’s for owners only, so we had to haul luggage over the wet pathway when checking in. Construction had the closest lobby closed off too, no one’s fault, just sort of unsightly. Another red flag was the fire alarm in the hall missing the glass bar. Our last day they communicated that the Wi-Fi would be repaired and asked for permission to enter, we gave it with the condition that they have someone present to ensure the safety of our belongings. We came back to the unit between outings and the repair person arrived while we were there, I notified the contact of their arrival and that we needed someone to come be with the repair person. Unfortunately it took about an hour for them to arrive. Sort of a bummer on our last day to have to change our plans based on having new Wi-Fi installed. All in all, we know we got a heck of a deal on this property, many units in this building are renting for much more, but I would say spend a little more and get a more comfortable bed, less of a hike to the unit, and maybe a view while you’re at it.

It's a beach front studio (not much a of a view), with a quick 2-3 minute walk to the beach. ~10-15 minute walk to the closest stores. Nothing to complain about. The management company was responsive and friendly. Well appointed. Everything I needed was there.
