"This is a relatively inexpensive way to experience the "vintage" Keys. It is a small property with a limited number of rooms which makes for a quiet and peaceful stay. There are several good restaurants within walking distance."

"The hotel is very beautiful and has amazing facilities, but unfortunately it feels like it’s lacking maintenance. The floors and walls looked dirty and stained in several areas. Personally, this experience was very disappointing because I had stayed here about four years ago and absolutely loved it. I came back with that same excitement, expecting another great weekend with my wife. Back then, I remember being welcomed warmly, offered a bottle of water, and receiving great attention from the bellboy and staff. This time was completely different. The bellboy barely acknowledged us, and I practically had to get him up from his chair. At the lobby, there was only one receptionist handling a huge line, and I waited more than 30 minutes just to check in. Then my reservation could not be found because someone had made a mistake with the booking process. It was a complete mess. Everywhere we went, the service was extremely slow. Even at the bars, I had to wait over 30 minutes just to get a beer. I honestly don’t know what happened to this place because it is truly beautiful. My expectations were very high based on my previous experience, but this time it turned into a horrible experience for me."

"Unfortunately I was covered head to toe in bed bug bites. Upon check out I raised concerns I woke up to bed bug bites and the lady reassured me it was most likely a spider. I gave it the benefit of doubt and didn’t press any further. I then had a severe allergic reaction to the bites and had to head to the hospital. The doctor that assessed me confirmed it was bed bugs. I was covered from head to toe — I was given antibiotics, creams and antihistamines. I am currently off work until my bites heal and I have been experiencing chills and was feverish at one point too. I have had medical opinions from a doctor, nurse and a pharmacist and they have all confirmed due to the pattern and nature of the bites it is bed bugs. I would not have written this review if the motel have not been ignoring my emails raising this concern. When I spoke to the lady on check out she mentioned the maids are really good so it can’t be bed bugs. I am not blaming the maids. Bed bugs can live on mattresses and bed frames too. Unfortunately this experience has ruined my trip to America. We had started in such a high getting engaged at the beginning of the trip, to ending in such a low with me being bitten from head to toe with bed bug bites. There is no acknowledgment, accountability or resolution from the motel."
