「We arrived at 17:45 on the Sunday, to find that the kitchen closed at 18:00. We had just walked 14 miles as part of our Grand Union Canal walk for Yorkshire Cancer Research. The staff were very accommodating and we were well fed! The shock was when we received the receipt for the meals and a few beers and a 10% service charge had been added. We were not asked whether we wanted to pay that. Given the circumstances, we would probably have agreed to it, but it would have been nice to be asked. 」

「A 1 night stay for work reasons. The pub and food are excellent with a good selection at a reasonable price. My room was comfortable but very cold due to the old leaking sash windows. All in all for the price it's ok for a 1 night stay. 」
