"Communication with host in advance was horrible. VRBO had to get involved. Only received the most basic check in info at 2:45pm on day of check in and only because I kept reaching out. When we arrived the temp was above 80 and after 15 min of trying was not changing. There were dead bugs on 2 of the bath towels and on kitchen counter, it was dirty and smelled of smoke. We contacted VRBO and after the ring around we were able to be transferred to a new place. Do not recommend!!!"

"This house is located in a more industrial area of Tuscaloosa on a quiet street with well maintained homes. Only 10 minutes from campus. House is fully renovated and very comfortable. The host was extremely responsive and a great communicator! "

"Property not as described. 2 story home with no AC on second floor and turning on the ac “full blast” does not resolve the issue. Broken brick and glass columns entrance way, grass knee high with glass in the yard, neighborhood homes with trash and broken down cars, backyard has building/shed with broken door and windows, doorways and windows with wooden shims/framing that are wet inside leading to cracks to see through to outside. "This was the best stay I ever had at a hotel. The staff was the most friendly people I ever meet. They made me and my wife feel like home at the hotel. The two lady at the front desk help me a lot by finding us an joining rooms at the last minute, when we were checking in. You have the best Staff we ever experienced in all the hotel we stayed in. Out of a scale of 1 and 10, we rate this hotel and staff an 10. Thank you for the wonderful experience."

"This is obviously an old Hampton Inn brought back to life. The entire hotel was well lit and very clean. The room was very spacious with comfortable beds, plenty of towels in the bathroom. I was really surprised by how the water from the shower head seemed to massage my head. Turns out my daughter thought the same thing as well. We were offered bottled water and soft drinks upon check in. In the room there were complimentary water, soft drinks, and crackers waiting. At check out we were offered these things again. There were several breakfast items offered such as cereal, toast, muffins, oatmeal, fruit… that type of thing. The price was good and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I think it is a good place to stay! "
