Being our first time to Hawaii, we had very high expectations of what we wanted for our first trip, and Vicki and Ty’s listing not only promised to meet our wishes, but actually delivered far more. Their hale is absolutely beautiful, and set in a perfect setting on the leeward coast. I was somewhat skeptical that the photos may have been taken in a way to make it look nicer than it was, but they are not, in reality, the pictures don’t do justice to how beautiful it is here. The condo is set up far better than one could imagine, with comfortable seating in the living areas, and luscious beds. The views here are breathtaking, with amazing sunsets every evening. The proximity to the big resorts was something I wasn’t too sure about, for fear it would feel over commercialized here, but that was quickly dispelled, as it is a gated community, with many locals living on site. Their isn’t a huge mass of tourists to deal with here, yet you are close enough to be able to walk just a few short minutes to a beautiful protected lagoon, where you will see turtles pretty much every day. The open area to the West of the unit, has unobstructed views of the ocean, for a relaxing time on the Lanai to sit and relax. While the highway is close by, the traffic noise is not very bothersome, as long as you accept the fact that people do live here, and must commute in order to fat to and from the things in their daily lives. We drove ito all areas of the island from here, and it is only about 45-50 minutes from here to the windward side of the island, barring any Honolulu rush hour traffic, which is very heavy. We have had every want met, and will choose Vicki and Ty’s condo on any return trip. We were met by Shawna, their local rep, and she was very helpful in showing us around the unit, and giving us tips on where to eat, visit and shop in the area, and her recommendations were spot on. Rest assured you will not be disappoint noted if you choose to stay here, the only issue will be that you won’t want to leave.
