"Large rooms, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and cheerful. The bar and restaurant were super convenient and we enjoyed watching sports on the numerous tv’s in the area especially during a major thunderstorm one evening! We didn’t have to venture out for a meal, it was right there in the hotel."

"Room was spacious and clean. However, one roller on the shower door was off the track. Picked up shower door and put the barn door style roller back on the track. Something was going on with the shower door though because I really had to muscle it closed. Toilet seat was loose, tried tightening the nut underneath but it wouldn't tighten. Stripped maybe? Small piece of base cove was missing by shower. Simple maintenance things to fix, seems like they should know about these issues and fix them. Person at desk was very helpful. Good location. Would stay here again, just some disappointing maintenance problems."

"My top values in a property are cleanliness, a nice shower, comfortable bed. This one hit all of those. We stayed 3 nights for a Royals baseball game and it was about 15 minutes from the stadium. Highly recommend. Has a beautiful exterior and interior, loved that we got to stay in a historical building with tasteful modern choices. The in room lighting was nice. Soft towels and a great bed. When I interacted with anyone, from front desk to custodial staff, they all look like they truly enjoy their job and always smile. The valet staff always opens the door for you when you exit the property. Comfortable walk to Kansas City Taco Co, a must try!!"

"I will definitely consider this hotel when visiting the Kansas City area again. I parked in a nearby parking garage instead of using the valet as there were storms that were going to arrive with potential hail that night and I would rather have my vehicle covered than not in their open parking lot. Check in was easy and my room overall was very clean and nice. The speakeasy in the basement was amazing, they were playing jazz that night which I love. It seems to draw people that aren't even staying in the hotel which lets you know that it's quality. Too small issues I did have was the water pressure in the shower left more to be desired and the rooftop was not open for brunch outside of specific days (not Sundays). Personally I would want to showcase a rooftop option with amazing views for food and hanging out."
