This is an excellent location for exploring KC. The house is old and endearing and in a great, quiet neighborhood very near lots of local restaurants and watering holes. Close enough to the city's major attractions. The fire pit out back was a nice touch. The fenced backyard and no pet fee was also a major plus. We did have some issues with check in, and communication. We had asked for an early check in well ahead of our arrival and did not receive a response. We had to reach out for check in instructions and access codes because they were never sent to us. When we did receive check in instructions, with a bit of an attitude, we realized there was an option to pay for early check in. If we had known ahead of time, we may have utilized this option, but by the time I received check in instructions it felt like insult to injury. We also felt that the place could have been furnished and appointed better at minimal expense or effort. This is an old house with very few outlets in the bedrooms, and no effort has been made to assist guests with that reality. The dishwasher had been ran, presumably at the last guests' check out, but hadn't dissolved the dishwashing pod and so didn't clean. Some time had obviously passed, and the dishwasher was gross and mildewy and full of almost all of the dishes in the house. We had a few recommendations that would have made this a five star stay for us and passed them onto the owner. Hoping they take note as I would recommend this place if they do.
