8.4/10 Very Good! (4,143 reviews)
The location - 10-15 minute walk to the ferris wheel and old Montreal. 'China town' is just across the street if you like the food! The area around the hotel is a bit sketchy - we saw lots of homeless and drugged up people around the area, so I wouldn't walk alone perse (especially if you're young or female!) late at night.
Much like other reviews: 1) The lobby had a musty smell that they tried to mask with perfume, but unsuccessfully. Replacing the carpet might help with this issue. 2) Our room was small. The bathroom area infront of the sink had more room than the room itself! Four of us stayed in a two queen size room and we each brought one small luggage and backpacks and it was tight. There was a sink and microwave in the cabinet to the side of the one bed that could only open half way because the bed was in the way. You could almost fit half a body in there to get to the sink/microwave. 3) The shower is narrow. We showered sideways because it was more comfortable like that. Our rooms bathroom shower temperature valve/handle turned 360 degrees so it took some time to get the right temperature and to turn off the water. 4) The room was DARK. There definitely should be more and better lighting. We got the best light during the day when we opened the curtains.
Lastly, the cleanliness could have been better. We saw quite a bit of dust and the doors (room and bathroom) needed a good wipe. Sheets also had some hair and small stains on them. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

8.6/10 Excellent! (2,275 reviews)
We loved our stay at hotel st Laurent. We travelled as a family for a week vacation in Quebec. Staying in this location was ideal for our needs, as it was within walking distance to Notre Dame, Old Montreal, shopping and markets. We found the room was awesome for our needs allowing us to make our own meals ( being fully equipped with a kitchen) and having access to free laundry was an added bonus. Secured unground parking, though small spaces allowed us to stay parked while also allowing in and out privileges when needed. The front desk staff were super helpful and informative. We also liked the secured courtyard with bbqs and a gazebo for relaxing nights.
