Beautiful hotel, only our accomodation was not so modern anymore. Toilets for woman are having Windows who is open and it feels like from above everybody can look into the toilet

Bug & critter infested with poor service!

We were very disappointed with this hotel. We were expecting a small, quiet luxury resort of 24 rooms as advertised. Instead, we found the resort grounds are shared by two resorts, the second resort (Amaya Lake) costs one third the price and has over 100 rooms with all the shared services. There is an ant infestation throughout the resort including in the room, on the balcony (rendering it unusable) and all over the chairs and tables in the pool area. We also had to constantly shoo away flies and aggressive chipmunks while we were dining. The staff were uncommunicative and unhelpful with issues around check-in and our request that the 4 extra beds lined up outside our room for the entirety of our stay be removed. The only saving grace to this resort were the friendly restaurant staff (best of all the bar manager!). This place is no where close to luxurious, don’t be fooled by the photos!

It was okay..Wouldn't go back for the same price..

Room smelled bad and the towel, bathrobe, bed, and pillow were kind of soggy and also smelled bad. It was just okay for the remote location. Also had to wake up to street dogs fighting eachother at 6 in the morning right outside my terrace.

Flies on your food

I would never recomend this hotel to anyone. Stayed here for 3 nights based on rated reviewers. Terrible food, flies landed on food trays but somehow hotel staff thought it was ok no issue, so gross i cant even eat. Room was dirty, moulds in bathroom, spiders, lizzards, crickets and mosquitoes. Spa was horrible, dirty, spider webs on all corner of bathroom, mosquitoes were on over the bathroom while i was soaking in bathtub. This hotel needs seriously training in hygiene.

Exploring Sri Lanka

A peaceful, relaxing and high quality hotel, with rooms in single/double houses across an estate. The setting and location is tranquil, though Dambulla and Sigiriya temples are only a short drive away. The hotel buffet was well catered with a large variety of Sri Lankan and international food.

Very Good Hotel, Huge Grounds

Resort is fantastic. Slight problem with level of bathroom cleanliness and hot water accessibility but staff very attentive to our needs and problems. Wish we had stayed an extra night to enjoy the pools and grounds (huge resort)

Lovely stay with great staff!

Beautiful resort. About 15 min drive from cave temples in Dambulla. We stayed in the suite and it was lovely. When we encountered a problem in the middle of the night, the manager himself came to the room and fixed it. He was professional and generous in making things right for us the remainder of the stay. Staff was superb, driving you around the property on golf carts (covered ones when raining). No wifi in rooms like Hotels.com advertises, only in the lobby. This needs to be updated on the website.

Great place to relax/unwind

Excellent properly with fantastic room and great bathroom. However wifi and TV were not good at all and definitely requires massive improvement. Service was very good and the breakfast/dinner spread was superb.

Chambre top mais la restauration ne suit pas

Le Signature est une partie de l'hotel Amaya Lake, ce sont des bungalows ou villa. Nous avions une tres grande chambre, avec comme sur certaines photos un canapé petit coin salon tres agreable. Dressing et grande salle de bain, comme trop souvent au Sri Lanka les climatisations sont bruyantes et toujours trop froide. Le lit est d'un confort absolu une des meilleures literie que j'ai jamais connu, à noté que le lit d'appoint pour l'enfant est de la même qualité. Baignoire avec jacuzzi, attention aux inondations :-) L'environnement est super calme et vraiment tres agreable. Deux piscines pour cet hotel. Par contre coté restauration, le petit dej est vraiment quelconque, le room service est pas terrible et la rapidité efficacité de celui ci quasi nul. Vous pouvez manger au restaurant Signature au bord de la piscine, pas de buffet dan ce cas mais menu a la carte, la c'etait une tres bonne surprise.
