A good hotel, good space for our needs but the room was very noisy - the air conditioning in particular disrupted our sleep because it was so loud/made drain noises. All staff were lovely and we liked the location.

One of the best places I've ever stayed and my favorite in Japan. I visited Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka and this hotel in Kyoto was easily my favorite. Advanced check in, great toiletries in the lobby, spectacular room, spacious kitchen/living room, comfortable beds, beautiful terrace, lots of air conditioning, gorgeous bathroom/shower/bathtub/toilet, convenient laundry machine.
Housekeeping did throw out an item of mine which was very upsetting, however the property quickly replaced it.
Only thing that would have made this room perfect was if at least one of the TVs was a Smart TV with streaming websites such as Netflix, Youtube, etc.
I also think there should be a number code to enter the building for added security
It's not that close to a subway (12-15min walk) but a bus stop is a block away which isn't bad but you cant bring large luggage on buses.
Get the room with a terrace for the comfort and your clothes will dry fast outside in the summer!

We really liked this hotel! Super close and convenient for Universal and some fun family rooms with bunkbeds that the children loved. We would definitely stay again.
