"The house is very well located for Pothia. A short walk to the beach at the port or Gefyra and Therma. Lovely decor and the most comfortable bed and pillows! The neighbourhood is very original Kalymnian and that may be noisy from time to time. 😄 The bar next door managed to wake me up a couple of nights but it’s only open for winter (from October) and they also turned the music down every time I notified them about the noise. "The main town and ferry port of Pothia is a good place to stay. Very attractive small town with lots of great places to eat, explore and relax. Kalymnos is not really a place for avid beach fans but there are several small and pretty shingle/sand, uncrowded beaches where one can sunbathe and swim. These can be reached by taxi, hired car or sometimes by bus( while I was there, there was a big problem with the buses).
