We stayed in a newly renovated room on the bottom floor of the Kona Tiki. We arrived on a late flight but thanks to Karen’s excellent communication with us, it was a breeze. We loved having the sound of the ocean waves and the waving palms at our doorstep. The little kitchen had everything we needed, including a toaster and electric frying pan. If we needed new towels etc.., a renewal system is in place. The hotel also loans some items we found helpful for our beach time.
We loved the small size and it’s proximity to beaches and town. A car rental made exploration easy when we weren’t lounging and swimming in the hotel pool.
While the hotel is still undergoing Reno’s, this in no way impacted our enjoyment of the place.
If you like small, self-contained, waterfront, and authentic boutique places, this is for you.
