"Pros: The chalet and surrounding area were better than advertised. Right next to the ski lift and quite comfortable. Cons: Customer service was overwhelmed and made mistakes. Most frustrating was arriving at midnight to find ourselves unable to get into our room even after confirming twice the entry instructions the day prior. After 24 hours of travel, having to wait outside on a cold night until someone let us in was not fun. "

"We stayed in the two bedroom apartment as a family, it’s well appointed and in a great location in upper Hirafu, very close to dinning options and ski hire and shops. The property managers can arrange a pick up on arrival and provide a daily shuttle if you don’t want to make the short walk to the ski lifts."

"Nice three-bedroom apartment with an amazing view of Mt. Yotei (looks like Mt. Fuji). We came to ski and the property was tucked back on a side street about 1/2 mile from the resort. The staff provides a free private van shuttle during the day to and from the resort or to and from any local shops or restaurants, with a little notice. "First time staying at the Setsumon and it by far has exceeded any accommodation I have stayed in at a ski resort. The apartment was very modern, spacious, comfortable bed and delightful staff. "This place is amazing. Its right next to the center of the Hirafu town where all the action (food) and transportation is. Lawson also right next door. Rooms are small but smartly designed, I felt more comfortable here than in many other larger hotel rooms. "Kira Kira is located downhill of the Hirafu Welcome Centre. Transportation is provided during arrival and departure to and from the Welcome Centre. I am not too sure if the transportation can be arranged during they stay as I did not try this. The room was spacious and well suited my needs. It was comfortable.
