"I had extremely high hopes based on the initial correspondence with the renter. He was very responsive and even went above and beyond to address my concerns prior to our stay. He went so far as to send me video of the "private beach" access as this was the primary reason for us booking the location and I was concerned about just how much shoreline we'd have access to. Prior to our arrival he warned us to bring bug spray as the temps were warming up and they were becoming more prevalent and I thanked him for the heads up. Little did I know how bad the bug infestation would be. Upon arrival we were greeted by a swarm of biting flies. I mean they literally surrounded our car the minute we pulled up and continued to be an issue anytime we were outside. Upon checking in and inspecting the home I noticed an abundance of spider webs (with spiders in them) and what appeared to be rodent feces in the utensils drawer as well as the cabinets with pots and pans. In both bathrooms the poorly fitted toilet seats were so loose they practically came off the toilets and we had to hover to avoid sitting directly on the toilet bowl. I advised him of this and sent pictures asking about the feces. He responded that it was not rodent feces and offered 10% off for the bugs. Also we did not get to enjoy the beach because no amount of Deet or Citronella can combat a swarm of biting flies. Please deep clean the home and treat it for pests prior to renting again."

"The room was clean and the parking was fine. The room had one little desk and a swivel desk chair. There was no place to put things down except the floor. There was no place to sit except the bed. The bathroom fixtures are so old the finishes are worn off. The tub doesn't drain unless you manually pull up the stopper - water up to your ankles. The shower head is 20 years old. Only one little garbage pail in the bathroom. Unless I hear of a reno I will not stay there again. So disappointing for a place that we really enjoyed years ago. Hilton is supposed to be better than this."

"The house was located in a charming, peaceful neighborhood. Uber delivered groceries, and the dog enjoyed himself thoroughly. As soon as you step outside, the scent of honeysuckle quickly fills the air. Also, the home has a stunning kitchen with everything needed to cook and a cozy soaking tub, all adding to the home's appeal. "

"Beautiful cozy cabin! The sunsets are stunning. We were able to kayak from the property along the beautiful creek. The cabin is close to chincoteague but has a more relaxing feel than staying in town. "

"Excellent spot to relax and enjoy the wildlife, saw eagles, osprey, an owl and 4 otters…..along with plenty of other birds. You don’t even need to drive anywhere to do some nice exploring, they have a canoe and kayaks right there to use in the backyard. It was comfortable with plenty of space, loved the big windows! Chincoteague is not far away with boat trips available to go see the wild ponies!Would definitely go back there again!"
