"Super fun house and spot. The views were amazing, sunsets, peaceful and quiet. This is a rustic seasonal home but we really loved it. A little chilly till we found some more blankets. There is a propane fireplace which heats it up quickly but I would not leave that on overnight. The second bedroom is in a separate little studio and so you need to go outside to go to the cottage to use the bathroom. Also we did not notice re the tap water not potable and we used for coffee and tea :) so definitely need to bring drinking water. We loved this place!"

"We truly enjoyed a weeklong stay in this comfortable and modern Maine house near the Shoodic portion of Acadia National Park, well suited for 1-2 couples & ready for dogs! Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and nice; the full bath had ready hot water and bedrooms were spacious with comfortable mattresses and clean linens. There is a screened porch with rocking chairs overlooking a bucolic front yard, and a small fenced dog run off the back porch. The kitchen had modern appliances, several staples (salt, pepper, cooking oil, aluminum foil, dish soap) and a set of sharp carving knives, but for guests who plan to cook a lot (there aren't food options right nearby), it could benefit from adding some steak knives and small bowls, but the gas grill fired up just fine. Also: reliable and fast Wifi; efficient central AC (didn't need it in early September); and a thoughtfully curated selection of maps & brochures detailing regional parks & food options, a boon for us as our trip was hiking-centered. The yard is close to a road, but the road is not busy, neighbors were friendly, and the house is walking distance to two maintained trails that we found, including one to a rocky outlook adjacent to Tunk Mountain. We didn't find clear directions in the house to local trails or river access, but a neighbor gave us some pointers to nearby hikes in walking range. Overall a great experience. If you want a quiet, comfortable dog-friendly Maine stay, this is a terrific option!"
