Room was not as clean as you'd like. Showerhead overhead was very bad looking and needed help to figure out how to get the water to work, the handle fell off. However, very comfortable bed and pillow. TV worked well. Conveniently located. Staff was helpful. One big negative is you can smell cigarette smoke in the corridors and it can seep into the rooms. I'm a non-smoker so I don't like that.

Small simple hotel, very convenient location, helpful staff at reception desk. Dated room,but comfortable bed, good wifi and shower. Lots of activity, restaurants and street life just outside, perhaps appropriate for a border crossing city. Not fancy but did the job, would stay again.

A good place to stay with friendly hotel staff. Davey the receptonist was very nice and accommodating.The bed and pillows were sooo comfortable. There were 2 shopping malls within walking distance and those that were not, I rode with InDrive which was much cheaper then Grab. Plenty of street food shops around the hotel and very cheap. I would stay here again. Thank you Belllo Hotel.

Great short stay in a convenient environment

It’s a great place to go as a couple as the room is a little bit small. my experience with a baby has been good so far. Very convenient as it’s near city square and also easy to locate the hotel. Have no trouble going back Singapore as it’s only bout 5-10mins walk to custom

The hotel is close to the train station but the area around hotel was dirty and many homeless people sleeping on sidewalks. The river walkway and night market two street over was great. The bed was really comfortable but room showing lots of signs of age. And mold in the bathroom could use a scrub. Good night sleep and it served its one night purpose.

This is our 2nd time staying at this hotel. The staffs are super friendly and near lots of dinning options around the hotel. The only set back we experience in this stay were noises around the corridor and loud closing of doors from other guests at weeks hours(I.e. 2am to 3am). If u r not a light sleeper like myself there will not be an issue.

Worst hotel ever booked

Very bad hotel experience. Room is old and bed sheet are stained. The room looks old and wall badly stained. No luggage tag for luggage storage. Checked in and checked out in less than 10mins. Totally different from the photos on hotel.com. Worst hotel room ever enter.

Basic hotel

This hotel looks nice, has great staff, and is clean but the rooms are quite basic. They either face a very noisy street or have windows facing inside the building, i.e indoor windows. There were no bedside lamps and the faucet handle in my shower fell off. On the good side is that there are many restaurants just across the street with excellent food 24 hours per day. On the bad side is that the restaurants - at my stay at least - had some extremely noisy customers who wake you up at 04.00 am every night, so bring your earplugs if you stay in one of the rooms facing the street. If this was a two star hotel I would give it a good rating but for a 3 star hotel I would much expect better.

A hidden gem of a property in downtown Johor Bahru. Extremely convenient location for access to food & shopping. Rooms are clean with running hot shower, and it is large enough to open up a large suitcase on the floor without falling over it.

Located in the older part of JB town. Near City Square, JB Sentral and CIQ. Lots of food options. Only complain is that the bed is too soft and there isn’t a hair dryer in the room. It’s a quite stressful unloading luggage if arriving by car because the one-way street is very narrow and no other vehicles can pass your stationary vehicle. Although there is a huge police station just down the street, walking around at night didn’t feel safe.

Important! There is a tax charge only accept cash. Didnt mention when I book the room 3 months ago. Make sure you have enough cash before you go check in. The window is facing corridor, and corridors are open, you can hear clearly when people in and out. Still, room is clean, staff are nice.
