To control to AC- before the garage hallway is a nest thermostat. To lower the temperature, slide your right finger down the right side towards the bottom (not on the screen). To raise the temperature, slide your finger up the right side towards the top.
If you need to change the mode to heat, then tap the right side so the menu pops up, slowly slide finger down the right side again until mode is selected, tap the right side to select, scroll up or down to heat or cool then tap the right side to select.
