WAS PLEASANT. LACK OF DECENT TV CHANNELS AND SOME BROKEN TILES TO BE REPAIRED BUT OTHERWISE ALL GOOD. NOT SO SURE ABOUT STAFF IN GUEST AREAS ON THEIR PHONES ALL THE TIME. THEY WERE ALL HELPFUL WHEN APPROACHED THOUGH
I've stayed at quite a few guest houses country wide. This was one of my least favorite experiences. Battled to get into enclosed estate. Eventually had to phone guest house to find out how to get there as it is in an enclosed area. Manager /Reception new employee. Dressed very sloppy. Outside garden beautiful but unkept. Staff sitting around instead of cleaning outside garden furniture which was quite dirty. Rooms quite big but in urgent need of repairs and maintenance. Expected more from a guest house in Sandton. Owners should be more hands on. Definitely won't recommend
Beautiful hotel and the most friendly and helpful staff you could ever hope to meet!

Business trip review
Good enough for the price I paid. Try and book a room on the inside (at the pool). Have stayed at EM a few time and always find staff very friendly and helpful. Very close to Sandton, so almost no traffic issues which is biggest plus. I've initially booked self-catering as I would have stayed a few days, but would not recommend that as other "apartments" seemed to be occupied more permanently and the noise levels much too high. Management was however very accommodating in moving me to a quieter room where I had no further noise issues.
Had a lovely stay. Staff is friendly, rooms are comfortable. I love the interior, homely yet classy. Does not feel like a formal hotel which is a refreshing change. Close to Sandton city, yet in a quiet suburb. Love the big old trees and African animals in the garden. I will definitely be back and happy to have found this little gem!

One night stay in Sandton
I stayed here for one night and it was OK but this place need a total refurbishment. Sheets are thin and one pillow case was actually with holes and the material so thin is torn. No tissues, cheap coffee and Cremora (I bring my on fresh coffee and press) Tiny bottles of toiletries, bath tap the other side on the oval bath, curtains that barely close, no sheer for privacy, cracked tiles being hidden under dirty rugs, TV with only 5 channels and placed on a neck craning , cupboard. All the wall need a scrub and paint. Decor dated. Has seen better days.
