If you need local insights and super hospitality then go with Jason. The location is in a quiet local neighbourhood and it feels safe to have kids running around outside. "We had an amazing stay at Fuego Lodge in Santa Teresa and would absolutely recommend it! The property is incredibly clean and well-maintained, which made it feel comfortable and relaxing right from the start. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Santa Teresa—so everything you need is close by. It’s also just a quick 2-minute walk to Lifeguards Gym, which was a huge bonus for us. The staff were truly outstanding—super friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. They really made the experience feel personal. The pool area is beautiful and a great place to unwind, surrounded by lush vegetation that gives the whole place a peaceful jungle vibe. It feels like a little oasis. My wife and I have traveled all over the world and both agreed this was one of the coolest places we have ever stayed at! Breakfast each morning was delicious, with plenty of options to choose from, plus a great coffee and tea station to start the day right. Overall, a 5-star experience—we’d definitely stay here again"

"The staff was exceptional. The location and setting was exceptional. But some things were substandard. Breakfast was boring and same every day. Eg no croissants or breakfast pastries, only bread for toast. No cheese or cold meat or fish selection. No variety of fruits. Rooms were spacious but… no closet, no hangers. No place to hang clothes, no place to hang wet towels and bathing suits. Huge balcony with a tiny two-seater couch with no cushions. No cushions on the indoor couch either. A little attention to deal would go a long way - no tea bags in room. No wine glasses. "
