I have stayed at the Playa Hermosa Bungalows #13 almost a week, from late October into early November, and I have had such a fine time! The little bungalow I stayed in (one out of 26) is very well set up, cozy and comfortable (the bed is very nice...that rates high for me!). The area is very quiet, full of birds and with the sound of the waves as background music the whole time. Just a calming, restful, peaceful sweet place. The manager (Greg) is a real good guy, very helpful and available, and he has 3 groundskeepers that keep the place immaculate! The beach is super long to the south, so great for long walks. The ocean water is warm, though to be candid, the waves and currents here can be strong, so you must be very respectful and be attentive to anyone who is young or not a strong swimmer. But it's so healing to be in and around! Also, it is about a mile walk to some restaurants, bars and a little store...so one can check out that scene easily (try the Costa Rican "Casada" meal...a good deal and a lot of food!). Also, Greg has been great about setting me up with activities, taxi's, rental cars, and generous with information. I could go on and on, but I will just say "come here and stay", you will be glad you did!
Cheers, Bob
