"Outside looked run down & parking lot was awful & bikes laying in walkways. After putting our suitcase in the room, we immediately left for the beach. When we got back the key wouldn't work in the door, the receptionist/ housecleaning ranked of alcohol tried using her key, then a owner finely got it opened after trying several different keys & told us to leave it opened if we go back out & he'd have someone fix it. We said not with our stuff in there, so he immediately tried giving us the room next door, which the door wasn't locked & key didn't work after we locked it. Which made us to think the other door was unlocked too when we first went in & they didn't know what key goes to what. After I grabbed our suitcase, we looked the room over, then told him we wanted a refund, because that room was nasty & we felt unsafe. ( BLOOD SPOTS ON BATHROOM WALL & MOLD AROUND TUB."

"Great last minute stay. They were so friendly, accommodating, and the place was great. We had our doggie with us, she loved hanging on the balcony looking at the beach. We could walk right out to the beach, the showers were right there and the volley ball as well. The bar was amazing! Best martini!!! Our teenage son had an amazing time riding his bike to all of the shops that were so close by. Ice cream right across the street, amazing coffee less than a block away. "

"Excellent customer check-in. People seem to genuinely enjoy working here - and for a holiday weekend that's saying something! Parking was easy. Even though our room wasn't ready when we arrived (early - like 12 noon - I get it), the front office lady checked us in, welcomed us, gave us our parking pass, explained that we could access all the amenities (exercise room, pool, etc.). I like that the pool has designated adult swim times (2 hours in morning; 2 hours in evening), so it's not overrun with unsupervised kids all day. The jacuzzi/hot tub area was a little small (ie, six adults max - and that was elbow-to-elbow). Location is not directly on Boardwalk, but we knew that beforehand. We Website provided accurate information. We had an ocean view balcony and were able to see the beach, boardwalk, Waterman's seafood restaurant. Even saw the sunrise from the balcony. Room was very clean and well furnished. Lots of shelves and cubbies and even a rack for shoes in the closet. We didn't use the kitchenette, but it was well-stocked and included dish soap, sponge, dishwashing pod. There is a linen exchange service on the 4th floor during business hours if you need to swap out towels. They also advertised a complimentary laundry service on the 4th floor, but we did not use it. Ice machine was full loaded, though a bit far from our room. The Roma Pizza restaurant in the lobby was great - good food, wine, beer, friendly service, plenty of clean seating indoors and out. "
