Nice hostess - but not value for money

We booked a double room with seawiev and a King Size bed. Toilet and bath en suite (direct access from the room). On arrival we were presented for a double room with a toilet and bath at the other side of an aisle. Not satisfactory and not in accordance to our booking. The hostess told us, that all guests were made aware of the special toilet facilities when booking the room ……. we were a regrettable oversight. Well ….. fortunately there was a smaller room available with shower and toilet. It was smaller but we accepted it, since we need directly admittance to a toilet. The new room was without seawiev, which we also accepted. The room smelled stuffy and seemed infested with mold round the windowframes. The room was so small that we had to leave our luggage in the car and only bring the most necessary things. No space for suitcases in the room. No hooks to hang outerwear. Breakfast was served on a serving trolley outside the room. The landlady seemed in a bad mood, pointing at cereals with her back towards us. The bathroom is spacy with an openable window. In return there is only one place to put a wet bathtowel, which was a cold radiator. It was about 15 celcius and rainy, so nothing dried up. Folding table fell off the wall. The hostess brought us a new table. Breakfast was okay - nothing beyond the ordinary. One slice of toast and one croissant p.p. The hostess was very kind and helpfull but the experience did not meet our expectations and it did not meet description an

Frindely, warm hostess

We loved Minnie;s Room. ‘Me’Ann(?), the owner, was a wonderful hostess. We loved the breakfast cart she brought in the morning, with the food beautifully displayed. And the view from our room was beautiful,

padrona di casa molto accogliente. stanza non pulitissima, bagno piccolissimo. letto molto comodo. bellissima vista dalla camera (la n.2), colazione minima. Problema principale è che sono tre camere in un piccolo corridoio. Una di queste ha il bagno (tra l'altro molto spazioso e moderno...) fuori dalla camera e se chi la occupa fa avanti e indietro anche durante la notte aprendo e chiudendo le porte si dorme poco...

A very wecoming and attentive host. Greets you on arrival and present throughout stay if you need anything. King size bed, very comfortable. Our room had a separate bathroom opposite the bedroom for our personal use. Dressing gown provided for dignity. Having tried this for two nights I would opt for ensuite next time. Can be a bit noisy with guests arriving and leaving early however a minor inconvenience overall. Fabulous view out of the bedroom window on to the Loch.

Lovely room and great host

Unser Zimmer war wirklich sehr süß und gemütlich. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen und uns wohl gefühlt. Der Wasserstrahl in der Dusche war sogar stärker als bei uns zuhause - top! Ganz besonders war Minnie selber. Sie ist eine sehr nett und hilfsbereite aber nicht aufdringliche Gastgeberin. Sie hat uns gute tips für unseren Trip gegeben und wir konnten uns bei ihr sehr wohl fühlen.

lovely relaxing stay

really good, quiet location with plenty of parking. our room was spacious and comfortable with wonderful views. breakfast was served to our room each day and we could sit at our table to eat while looking across the loch. bed, shower, and all facilities were perfect

Our stay was great! The view is amazing. We enjoyed sitting and watching the sunset as well as the wildlife. Breakfast was great! Mayanne is a great host! There are several great restaurants in walking distance as well as a small grocery store. Great location. Comfortable space!

Dans une vieille maison défraîchie, Chambre spacieuse avec superbe vue, avec table et chaises, canapé. Salle de bains minuscule. Lit mou mais confortable et grand. Hôte serviable et très à l’écoute, on a pu arrêter plus tôt dans la chambre. Petit déjeuner continental servi dans la chambre à 8h, des compléments (céréales, fruits, confiture, Nutella) sont disponibles dans le couloir. Parking privatif devant la maison. Restaurants à proximité mais réserver à l’avance !

Cannot say enough about our host Mayanne. Friendly, thoughtful and a wonderful host. The bathroom was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the room overall was perfect. Mayanne delivered a lovely breakfast outside our door at 8am sharp. The small details Mayanne has thought of were extremely appreciative. We would highly recommend Minnies Rooms.
