"The fist look may be disappointing, but once you realize this is a 19th century building you'll be amazed how well it looks inside. While we were there they were working on refreshing the exterior. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast not included, but since you're in the middle of now, it's a good idea to buy it. They have a continental buffet plus cooked options on demand. The location is beautiful, quiet, and at the crossroads of many hiking trails. There is a well stocked whiskey bar next sooe where you can also have lunch/dinner. If you need a taxi so you don't drive to a distillery tour, the staff can help you. Be aware though that taxis have to come from Portree, so you have to pay for their whole trip."

"The only thing I did not like about this property is that my room had. I black out curtains. Which meant that every day I was woken up by the light at around 4:5-5 am. When the sun came up. One would think that the managers of this property would be sensitive to this since the sun comes up very early around 5 months per year. Otherwise good experience overall. The front desk was very helpful!"

"We chose staying here during a five day portion of our Scotland trip on Isle of Skye in late May. We simply loved it! The house sits in the best spot for feeling private and secluded all within a jaw dropping landscape. It's a wonderful home with all the amenities one would need. Rosie is incredibly responsive and sweet along with her two cute dogs, Marley and Tessa. We loved the look of the surrounding garden (backyard) and landscape so much we planned our small wedding ceremony to be held there. It turned out great. The area is nice to quickly get to areas like Dunvegan, Neist Point, etc. along with being a good spot to call home for touring the majority of Skye. Don't hesitate for one minute, you'll love it here. Pics: there's a hike to McLeod's Maidens that was about 11 miles roundtrip, two pics are of that. It was moderately difficult, but well worth it. The B&W pic is from Brother's Point. The cow was right down the road on the way to the house. And the boys on the picnic bench and wedding pic was right outside the door."

"The Skye Inn was a guesthouse at hotel prices. The restaurant was closed the breakfast while good was slow and the staff in their own words were “distracted” Basically it seemed that the student aged staff were operating the Skye Inn without adult management. Perhaps as the season was just starting they were all new on their jobs but the place missed having an experienced adult in charge"
