We appreciated that the kitchen was adequately stocked for use, the house gave us easy access to the beach, and we slept comfortably in the bedrooms.
There was no easy way to rinse off feet or bodies to enter the house from the beach, and this could be easily and inexpensively rectified by installing a new hose with a nozzle. What is there now is leaky, broken and inadequate.
We also think that Carroll Realty, or the owners, should replace the rollup bamboo shades that cover most of the windows in the house. They are dirty, broken and largely un-useable, and it makes for a dark house.
Our favorite room ended up being the front porch, which is not air conditioned, but which is very light-filled and comfortable to sit in once the windows are open. But these windows also need some TLC, as they are dirty and have broken or missing screens.
The grounds were also somewhat littered with cigarette butts.
All in all, we found our stay there enjoyable and adequate. The repairs needed are relatively minor but will make a qualitative difference.
