「Very good location. Very clean very tidy would visit again.」

「After quickly booking about 11pm we arrived at nearly midnight. All doors inside were locked and kept ringing the contact number but not manned. There was clearly a door to the rooms but had not been sent a code to get in. My son went round the back and found an open door so we entered that way. We presumed that the only two rooms with a door open were ours! We left early in the morning and again not a single member of staff was to be seen. 「WOW! What a stunning place! Which we highly recommend a stay here. From when you initially arrive at the property and travel down the drive you can see the wonderful gardens and beautiful views. We were checked in by Millie, who showed us to our room, which was amazing Unfortunately the restaurant wasn’t open, but they did do meat and cheese boards, which we shared one of each, and certainly were not disappointed by the taste and variety. 「I have stayed many times because it’s just so clean, hosts so very helpful & friendly, breakfasts super fresh & well cooked. Ample free parking and delightful rural location within very easy reach of Ely, Cambridge, Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds. You are spoilt for choice regarding lovely restaurants/takeouts and sightseeing. It’s wonderful. I return time and time again.」

「Only one member of staff who was pleasant. More of a DIY place. Once grand but terribly run down. We had attic room and stairs very steep. Most odd room with ancient furniture and fittings. Linen and bathroom clean and hot water fine, but not a room I’d recommend!! Breakfast good but wouldn’t return」

「Super high quality hotel! If you plan to travel for Newmarket horse racing, this hotel must be the best choice. In the hotel, they have a wonderful warm swimming pool and jacuzzi. My husband and I enjoyed them after watching horse races. Although it was a very expensive hotel, we enjoyed very much our life in Newmarket.」

「This is a unique property with loads of character. Great location especially for horse racing. Great breakfast and fantastic staff who were were extremely helpful. We stayed in the town house with huge rooms.」
