Este hotel bajo mucho su nivel

Habitación amplia, el servicio de limpieza muy atento, baño pequeñisimo, tv 32 pulgadas, aire acondicionado por hacer mantenimiento ya que tenía emitía un olor fuerte. Desayuno super básico, todos los días huevos, 2 slices de pan de molde, mini vaso de jugo y taza de cafe; no ponen ni mantequilla, ni mermelada. Muy buena ubicación ya que esta a 1 cuadra de la plaza de armas. No tienen servicio de recojo y traslado al aeropuerto.

El precio pagado lo vale (casi)

Nuestra estadia fue buena... pero...: 1) de 3 enchufes de la habitacion, solo 1 funcionaba. 2) los baños no tienen ventilacion??????????? 3) La piscina estaba un poco turbia. lo bueno: 1) La habitacion tenia vista a la piscina 2) La amabilidad de los empleados es excepcional. 3) Variedad de platos aceptable.

Ok for the price, but could be better.

The hotel was ok for the price paid, but it really needs improvement. The bathroom didn’t have a proper window and the AC would take longer to cool down. So close the window if you want the whole room to cool. Breakfast can be better, more fruits would be helpful.

They didn’t have my reservation in their system

I had a bad experience because when I showed up at the front desk they said they didn’t have my reservation :( Hotels.ca tried to help but we figured something out on our own. From what I got to see (lobby and washrooms) it was pretty basic but clean. The location is pretty convenient since it’s two blocks away from Plaza de Armas. It is important to note that there are two El Dorado hotels on the same street, one a block away from Plaza de Armas which is not this one, keep going one more block and you’ll find El Dorado Express.

Upon arrival, the door was locked but there was no one at the desk to let us in. It was raining outside, so we simultaneously knocked on the door and called the hotel for several minutes before someone (who didn't appear to work for the hotel) finally emerged to say the desk clerk was busy and would be there shortly. Once the clerk finally let us inside, he appeared flustered and forgot to return our documents after checking us in. The room seemed dirty. The bathroom had a large hole in the wall revealing interior piping.

Will use again.

The hotel was very close to the plaza and center of the city. There were several tourist agencies nearby. The bedroom was clean, spacious and well ventilated. The staff was very nice and courteous: they made conversation with you and made you feel at home.

Nice wee hotel with good breakfast

First room was super nice, comes with a little fridge which is a cool bonus. Second room had pretty average air conditioning, and internet isn't amazing, but overall a nice spot!

¡Buenas Tardes! No quedamos en el Hotel El Dorado, por que miramos un hotel por la foto del site y cuando llegamos allá en Iquitos el Hotel El Dorado estava cerrado y sin funcionar, el chofer del motocar que nos llevó al otro hotel que es del mismo grupo, fuimos hasta este y nuestra reserva no estava en este, el atendiente después de un tiempo de espera nos habló que nuestros nombres estaban en el otro hotel del grupo, pero este, más lejo y muy menor de que aquél que nos aparece en la foto del site. En este último no tenía ni piscina e otras comodidades que buscamos y vimos en el momento en que escogemos en hotel El Dorado de la plaza de Armas de Iquitos. Quedamos profundamente aburridos y tristes con la situación y por eso fuimos a buscar a otro Hotel.

Everything is good, but...

The staff who was a girl said I need to pay in the front. But actually I already paid by my credit card. I didn't check well about this cuz I don't use internet well. Anyway Expedia said I need to wait to refund. Anything else was good at all. 익스피디아로 결제했지만 현장에서 결제가 안됐다며, 추가로 결제한 셈이 되어 버렸습니다. 이상한 건 체크아웃 당시 현금으로도 결제하고, 그 이후에 카드로도 결제가 되었습니다. 한국인분들 이용하신다면 이 점 유의하세요.

Le personnel est très professionnel. La chambre ne correspond pas au descriptif du site internet. Chambre et environnement bruyant. J'ai payé plus cher que prévu sur internet parce qu'impossible de payer en dollars avec leur terminal de paiement. L'hôtel applique alors un taux de change désavantageux.

Decent choice if you're on a budget

Below average breakfast (and only instant coffee) and I never received a hand towel (They just gave me paper towels). Also, the wifi wasn't so great on the 3rd floor. I was disappointed with that, but the service was excellent otherwise. The front desk wass very friendly and helpful with recommendations and general information about the area. I slept comfortably with the air conditioning. Overall it was a good deal. I would probably stay here again. I would just walk 10 minutes towards the Malecón to either Dawn of the Amazon Café or the Amazon Bistro and have a good breakfast there.

Nice hotel close to the main square

We went a day earlier than planned to the hotel as there was a protest planned by the Indigenous People and there would have been no transportation to get there. The hotel easily dealt with our change of plan. Our room was a third floor walk but our luggage was carried up there for us. The foyer and our room were very effectively air-conditioned. It was L-shaped so offered some privacy to the three of us. No pictures on the wall and the ceiling with some damage. There was a television set and internet connections. Sometimes the connections were down for no known reason and electricity was off for 4 hours but i do not think this was the hotel’s fault. A cooked breakfast was included in the reasonable price. Also included were use of the facilities of the 5 star El Dorado Hotel a block away with swimming pool and restaurants. We felt safe there despite the protest going on for 2 days which caused all the shops to be shut and most restaurants. The protesters covered the streets in garbage and broken glass and set some fires. They were protesting the big oil companies that had pulled out leaving their land damaged and water polluted, and they felt that the government representatives were doing nothing to help them. Riot police were there to make sure things were under control and the streets not completely blocked so the rare motorcycle or pedestrian could get through.
